Honestly, they could have been in a single tier with the V-Lock and shield and then have a nicer stand for Tier 2, then a Haslab Deathsaurus for backers as Tier 3

Due to musical differences rearing their head we now have 2 versions of Judas Priest instead of one and with the official version losing various members to illness it's up to KK Downing's 3rd party version to take up the slack which they're doing rather well.

"Sermons of the Sinner" has some great tracks, doesn't try and do anything groundbreaking, you know what to expect if you like the genre.

My favourites are "Sermons of the Sinner", "Raise Your Fists", "Hellfire Thunderbolt", "Brothers of the Road" and the obligatory epic "Return of the Sentinel",

Watched “Free Guy” today and it had a LOT to say about commercialisation of art. In particular a gag delivered brilliantly by Taika Waititi made me think about all the G1 revisits:

Antwan: You love Kentucky Fried Chicken right?
    Keys: No.
Antwan: If you love Kentucky Fried Chicken and I make Kentucky Fried Chicken and I know that you love Kentucky Fried Chicken, why would I make another restaurant called, I dunno, 'Albuquerque Boiled Turkey'?

It’s so true, we do keep buying Prime and Bumblebee and endless remakes so why would they do anything different?

Vcs is a bloody brilliant game! Probably my second fav overall after vice city itself. Yeah, you could destroy rival gang businesses and buy the wrecked buildings, then rebuild it as part of your empire, with different sizes and professions depending on how much cash you had to spend. Then rival gangs would come and start trying to destroy your businesses and you have to go defend them or lose it. Best part was, unlike other games, all the revenue got paid into your bank account directly once a week, didn't have to go round buying them all up. And phil collins arguing with auf wiedersehn pet's Barry was awesome.

For me, the ps2 quintet is peak gta. IV AND V, while much better technically, just don't feel anywhere near as fun to play in. And i would fear what these 'updates to modern standards means for the new versions. There's going to be a lot of censoring i reckon. Fortunately, i still have my ps2 and the original disks. May have to start a vcs playthrough once i finish painting my mancave.

Looking good! Random question, what do you use for pin removal? I think this has been covered before but I've forgotten the answer...
I discovered this in a bout of insomnia last night. My sleep deprived mind ordered a rodimus. o_O

At least at just under £75 it doesn't feel too bad given retail seems to be £5-18 more.

I know everyone says this isn't a very good toy - and you're probably right too - but I could never get bored telling you how little of a fuck I give.

But while I do love him, that doesn't stop me looking at what might be done to assist with Scorponok's robot mode proportions either..

Absolute success. We'll get some matching paint on that.

Ahhh, I remember seeing pics of those Junkbots ages ago and had completely forgotten about them! I like the looks and the idea of them - they'd go well with the Junkions don't you think?

Also, blue and grey Batman is THE Batman as far as I'm concerned.

I'm in for Skelly and Orko. I would be in for Trapjaw but I really don't like his face.

One step closer to getting BATCOW!!!!

After the joys of a 16 hour day (thanks rail replacement services and people arguing with bus drivers) I might actually get to open either Draculus, Shadow Panther, or Tricranius now I’m finally home….

Regarding the Live Action movies, prior to them the Transformers was a dying brand languishing with poor sales figures, whether you like them or not, they saved the franchise from the same declines other 80’s toy lines suffered. Suddenly having a massively popular property and toyline really benefitted Hasbro too, you can look at the reports and how much of an impact the movies had on business. It might have struggled on in various formats, but compared to how poorly Thundercats and He Man have done as toy lines, even with well received animated series, the massive boost to resources the films gave Hasbro really did turn Transformers into a hugely viable financial success. They were far from perfect but they generated a lot of brand awareness and quite frankly cash that means Hasbro continue to support the brand, and that’s no bad thing imho

I Know exactly what you mean, my main problem is that seems to be all that is going on so far, like having the bloody SA-X in different zones, I do miss not holding a shoulder button to aim while running rather than just free aim

Good finding out my past shelf life resin is still good for printing

I don't know much about the toy industry, I'm not sure Transformers was a dying brand pre-movies. By that point it had outlived 80's rivals Thundercats & he-man by decades already. It was probably Hasbro's biggest & most consistent toy brand. The adult collector market was already established and they were still selling more than many other boys toys, definitely at the Toys R Us I worked at. But the movies definitely did turn Transformers into one of the most valuable brands globally. It became way way bigger than it had ever been, far bigger than its heyday in the 80s. If anything, I'd assume that the value of the Transformers brand at the time gave Hasbro the confidence to invest in a movie, transforming it from a kids toy brand into an entertainment juggernaut.

I love Armada and the Unicron Trilogy but it didn’t create half a billion dollars of sales, I think it’s super underrated but the exposure and income generated by the live action movies dwarfs utterly the Unicron Trilogy. The toy sales in 2007 were reported as being 486 million, and actually rose even higher during the first sequel to around 585 million. Those are monstrous figures, while in 2000 they were as low as 30 million.
Now if you want to say Unicron Trilogy bought enough time and interest for the live action cash cow to kick in, that’s totally possible. It got me into collecting toys again, and it’s play pattern was certainly a great attempt at cross toy play and collecting, but it didn’t create the money that the Live Action films generated, and it’s sales were way way lower.

In 2000 the sales of Transformers were 30 million dollars, and barely more the next year. In terms of being an ongoing product sales are pretty much the key indicator of a toy lines success. The fact that after the first live action movie you went from sales of 30-70 million to just under 500 million shows the huge impact it had, and it grew after the first movie. On a purely business metric prior to the movies the brand was failing, and after the movies it became a dominant Hasbro property at a time in which rivals like Mattel were declining in sales.
