Reread this article and found this bit that’s rather concerning:

What’s up with this? Is he going to be like this in the film? Do they know how much this doesn’t work for the character? Is this just Lorenzo speaking out of his ass again?

The answer is probably the latter, but then again this is the transformers movies where Starscreams are Blitzwings, Jazzs are Mirages and Devastors have Balls. What do you guys think?

 

The other thing that sort of grabbed me about that article was the mention of Primal and Prime having 'philosophical conversations', which sounds great on paper but if the writer is a brainlet then I wouldn't expect too much.

Also I wouldn't at all be surprised to see the both powerful and intelligent Rhinox be reduced to an Ironhide-wannabe. Though it could also be Lorenzo bloviating as he's known to do.

Me seeing the constant debate with Mirage's altmode:


I’m at the point where when the design for Mirage’s robot mode is leaked/revealed I hope he looks like the perfect live-action Jazz. People are already bitching and moaning about a car, just go all out lmao

I know this is a movie with giant metal animals and ancient ayylmao conspiracies but gotta be sure to follow the laws, ignore the stuff with Mirage already being chased by cops so it's not like they care about what makes sense to begin with."

It wouldn't be a debate if people weren't so thick / dishonest with themselves about something really simple. Which is why people keep responding to points no one tangible is making instead of engaging with the actual points, because strawmen are easy to take apart.

Also wow wanting the corporation to do something that'll tick off the people they want to pay for their product, what a principled position to take.

Just a reminder, general audience is bigger than Transformers fans, unironic fans of the bay movies are even smaller than the usual TF fan demographic, so you're wanting Paramount to do something dumb because you would think it'd be funny.

I don't really see people not being bothered or not caring about what one character turns into as being dishonest. Then again I may be missing some stuff as I haven't read every page over the past few months that has this discussion.

You also seem to have missed the fact that that is mostly me having a bit of fun with the whole situation. Granted, I would love if it actually did happen since I find dumb outrage like this funny, but still.

That's what I'm thinking when I saw the pictures, it would be the perfect car mode for wheeljack if it was painted accurately

As for Blitzwing, he's a Seeker; they all look like Starscream, they should've just used a Seeker's name, not a triple-changers.

Film makers, please take note, these little things could've saved a lot of us a headache.... though maybe you just get off on the twisted irony.

The law is meaningless, an actual F1 could crumble to pieces in those roads and it's too impractical to use it (no proper brakes, ground clearence, rear mirrors, indicators, etc), it would be too expensive to build a whole prop from zero just for the sake of source accuracy for someone who's probably not gonna have that much screen time.

 

Mirage is said to be the car with the main human character, so I sure hope he gets a lot of screen time.
