We really need an upgrade kit that will replace the black shoulder piece in vehicle mode to the correct color. I'm ok with a pin removal. It just ruins the alt mode

 

Any partsforming required, or do the toes stay on throughout transformation?

 

They stay on, they just rotate around for robot mode.

The only mildly annoying thing is that my Spinout and Cordon already have their spoiler kits and I put them in the lower position. Those pegs aren’t ever coming out. I can’t do that with Sunstreaker because then he’ll look stupid next to Sideswipe in vehicle mode, so I’ll have to use the black pieces with him.

 

You could paint the Nonnef parts. You might not get an exact color match, but it's not like Hasbro themselves do. I did these with some Krylon Fusion spray cans I picked up at Walmart.

 

Thanks for the idea, but I rarely paint my figures because I feel they end up looking worse and end up regretting it. Yours don’t look bad though… I guess I’ll just accept it as helping differentiate Sunstreaker from Cordon and Spinout.

Yeah I seriously want to repaint those black shoulder hinges on my Lambos... I just hate painting in general!

 

I just made my very first order with Nonnef and bought just about everything I'd been eyeing in one go, including the Ironhide/Ratchet sets, the Sunstreaker set, the Lambo spoilers + Kingdom adapters for Red / Sideswipe, the Grimlock set, and the Datsun wheel covers.

It shipped incredibly fast, had it in less than a week. The quality on everything was top notch and it was easy to install despite my limited experience with heavier duty sprues like this (the only sprues I'm used to are like, a few easy Bandai model kits). Really satisfied with my purchase, was surprised how much I liked all the Grimlock parts (although I seem to have accidentally lost one of the screw hole covers in my carpet   ). Will definitely be ordering again!







Also, didn't take a pic but the red for the Sideswipe spoiler for Kingdom Sideswipe is a spot-on match. Very pleased with how it looks.

 

Slag kit image on Twitter, not sure if Nonnef himself has actually posted this yet

 

I already painted the head and legs of my Slag, but that is a great headsculpt, especially since as far as I can tell this is Nonnef's first one. Sword looks good, though it'd be really nice if the blade could rotate. The eternal issue with Slag's sword that it's impossible to hold correctly. And the red horns, something I didn't really feel like I needed, actually look amazing!

EDIT: Actually, a closer look at the sword makes it appear that the handle is orange. Maybe it can rotate???

Nonnef's Hubcaps fit on SS Kup. It's best to pop off the wheel, insert the hubcap and then snap the wheel back on. They don't really roll after but with a little trimming I'm pretty sure I can get the wheels to roll. Later when I go home I'm going to trim up a grey pair and see how it looks/rolls.

 

Can you elaborate on what the trick is (trimming?) to get the wheels to roll after putting these caps on? Several of my Datsuns no longer roll well because of this.

Sweet. I would love it if it also came with black molded hands to swap out for the painted ones.

 

I had to re-order the set of feet for Rachet and Ironhide due to my original purchase was ruined during shipping.

 

A longer handle would have been better for Slag's sword. That way, you could keep the cross hilt and still have the hilt clear the dino toes. I like the design of the sword and would love to have all my Dinobot's swords match (Nonnef). Not really interested in the black head, but I'm sure others will be glad it's an option. Red horns look good, but I would have been happy with red horn fillers too.

 

what does the slag kit contain?

The nice thing with Slag is that his fists are on a hinge due to transformation so the sword should fit in any configuration desired with the catch being that he has to hold the sword at a slight downward angle.

 

To get Kup's wheels to roll with the Nonnef caps installed: I carefully used a sharp razor to remove some material from the back of the cap so it doesn't go so deep into the notch on the hub. In the center part of the picture the area that needs to be trimmed away is outlined in red on the black cap, the grey cap is what it should look like after trimming. I also lightly shaved the whole back side of the cap after trimming including the sides.
