I finally put mine in yesterday, I'm hoping we at least get to the flight stand.

I think I'm more interested in the shield now. The promo shots with it look great.

Well the China booming Transformers 3P industry (supporting the G1 franchise) is now almost a decade old and still going strong. It hasn't shown any signs of stopping anytime soon.

Would it, though? I mean, this isn't like Unicron where he wasn't funded until the last second. Victory Saber is well past the point needed to fund him AND the V-Lock, with the flight stand almost a given at the current rate. T3 would practically cost pocket change to a multi-billion dollar company as it just means the shield gets added to the tooling, while the micromasters are reusing Siege molds that already were paid for outside of this cowdfunding, so they virtually cost nothing in the big picture to include.

Ultimately, if Hasbro says a few thousand more units were sold than actually were, the only thing truly gained is an already successful product pitch looking slightly more successful and the net benefit from this is extremely minor, whereas with the actually sold product, Hasbro is just putting more stuff in the box for paid up customers effectively for free.

I backed the day it went up. I hated the Victory cartoon, but I've always been find of some of the Japanese G1 designs. Star Saber in particular is like the love child of Optimus Prime and the Zeta Gundam (both Star Saber and Zeta Gundam were apparently worked on by Kunio Okawara). I'd wanted a CHUG version and had, at times, considered Planet X's.

I really doubt Hasbro is gonna risk anything illegal at this point just for a few tiers. I mean why invite this type of scrutiny to an already successful campaign?

I wish the shield was tier 2, with the stand and micromasters as tier 3

Why do people have such a hard time realizing that committing fraud is illegal? Yes, falsifying the records of how many orders were placed would be fraud.

Agreed. Tier 3 should have been both the repainted Stakeout and Red Heat IN ADDITION TO new molds of Fixit and Seawatch in their Victory cartoon colors (Pipo and Boater). And those new molds in turn could be released in Legacy as their US versions for those who may not back VS.

Hasbro is also completely capable of just deciding to include all the tiers if we got “close enough.” There’s nothing legally binding saying they can’t, so no number fudging is required.

Okay but then either Tier 3 would have to have a larger backer count or the initial project cost would have been higher.

Yep, but the big reason not to is setting a dangerous precedent for future projects that don't meet certain goals.

I would assume replacement parts are baked in to the cost of this project.

Why can this thing just be successful without weird conspiracies about “fudging the numbers” stop that nonsense. Hasbro doesn’t need to do that for any reason and won’t dot that. Like others have said, one it’s illegal, 2 they can just give us the tiers if they really wanted to if it doesn’t hit them. It shows how some of you have no idea how businesses work and the legality that goes behind products

I checked about 30 minutes ago it was 15,588 I think, so we just skipped the 16,000's completely.
