Thread resurrection here, but this may be helpful to anyone considering getting a Grapple KO.

I just got him this week. My thoughts:

He is indeed loose in a number of places as has been reported before; and he is not fully painted. However, after application of super glue in various areas to thicken plastic & thereby tighten some of the joints & connecting points, he actually holds together quite well in both modes. The looseness now isn't a problem at all. Shoulders hold in just fine.

All in all I'm happy with him. Fun to mess with; looks good. Would have loved to have the complete paint job, but he's good as is.

Another necrobump; just received my (second) KO MP Grapple from Aliexpress. And blimey! If I didn't know from the listing I'd believe this is an official! Nice thick paint, good coverage and lovely tight joints. Night and day compared to my last copy.

Ali seller is TOMY MP Store. Cost just under £35 after shipping/taxes. Fantastic. Thought I'd post this as I know when I was looking I was worried about getting a lemon.

Would you mind posting or PM me the link? I've been trying to find one of these painted KO copies, and I can't seem to look up the store by its name. Thanks!

    Edit: NM found it!

Sorry for the necro, but I just purchased this KO from ShowZ. It is available (as well as Inferno) there.

I will review here once it is in hand. Cheers!

I just got mine a few days ago. Loose ankles and shoulders on mine, and the part to fold his left hand inside the forearm was crazy tight. Otherwise, great figure. The back cleans up really nice.

Yeah mine from the latest batch from showz turned up last week
G1 grapple was one of my favourites as a kid early on as he was pretty big for a G1 and basically I got whatever my parents/relatives picked off my Xmas/bday list and that list was long and they got all the main large characters like prime, megs, jetfire, metroplex etc so I can't complain. I just remember grapple being a big favourite early on
MP KO is great quality, got a couple of sprue marks on the chromed pointer attachment, shoulders tight, ankles not exactly stiff but not floppy.
This MP comes with so much "junk" that was clearly Takara bumping up the price with filler, but appreciated anyway
This guy was fairly hard to find until this release and was going for $80+ on AliExpress the past 12 months which I couldn't stomach for a KO
This and then the recent rerun of THF-04 I picked up together were 2 I missed, now I just need a star saber MP KO re-release ;p
Got scammed 3 separate times via Chinese eBay sellers gone bad when the KO was originally out so figured that was a sign I wasn't meant to have him then

Is this new KO by any chance the painted version?

I do feel like there is paint on the figure, but it's hard to tell. Overall, this KO is excellent, the accessories are great, and the build is very good (it does feel a little bit floppy but not a dealbreaker).

The front wheels don't totally lock in for alt mode. It doesn't really roll all that well, but for a KO, I don't care.

What I do care about are breakages, and this little tab fought me to hell on the return to alt mode. You can see the plastic stressing by the pin.

All in all, it 100% met my expectations for a KO.

Hi, would anyone in the UK with a Painted KO be willing to sell their toon grill or have a spare?

I’ve had mine for a while and it’s been bothering me because it’s got a big paint blemish and the wrong autobot logo.

    Thanks in advance :D
