If the trainbots were made to scale with the car bots in vehicle mode, they would be absolutely humongous.

Years ago before I would have been all over this. Now, I'm all in on Zeta Radiatron. I think the bots are better proportioned, doesn't use all that clear plastic, and of course it's cheaper. Plus, the foot kibble on Takara's Raiden is terrible!
I'm glad Takara Tomy is trying something new, but it's too little too late for this Raiden fan.
I will say Takara's alt mode is spot-on gorgeous!!

 

They should do an MPG Omega Prime.

Does anyone know whether the Zeta combiner requires partsforming to assemble? I get the complaints about how wonky the TT combiner looks, but if it is actually a perfect transformation with out half the combiner parts sitting in a bag off to the side somewhere, that makes it much more appealing to me.

Still, the price leaves me a bit breathless....

 

The discount does make it more interesting. Don’t think that it’s worth $186 though, personally. Also the no cancellation after November isn’t something I’m a huge fan of.

As far as we know Raiden will be their first "true combiner" with an almost perfect transformation. Hands and chest plate might partsform though.

Wait, so did we ever learn explicitly what “MPG” is? Presumably MP combiners? And are they marketing them as smaller/cheaper than other MP’s?

 

G stands for Gattai which is combine in Japanese. This has been clarified a couple times earlier if you need more assurance
