Yeah, stores are doing something shady if they having shortages. Reminds me of the stupid toilet paper scare where everyone started buying it thinking there are shortages despite the fact that toilet paper is made locally and will not run out.

 

in defense of the price, remember it is a Takara import, so it's actually about right for a Voyager (with a fancy paint job to boot - how much are the TT premium Voyagers?) and a fancy stand.

this is not in support of it, just saying you can't compare it against a domestic release price-wise.

 

So you collect molds? Because this is a Japanese exclusive figure and Japanese exclusives will always be more expensive than domestic, mainline US figures. They also have different paint apps and different extras. But if those extras don't matter to you then your best bet at acquiring this mold at the cheapest price is the used section of Ebay. Even then, the prices are going up and you might get lucky enough to buy this for $40. If you want to buy it new, you'll have to shell out $80-100.

I find it mildly surprising how the aftermarket value for this figure has risen.

Personally I don't really see the point of this type of stand or what makes it different or special over any other generic figure stand you can buy instead.

 

Yea, I don't see a lot of added value with this stand over the generic ones. In general, I like stands, risers, etc in my display and think they are great, but much like Star Saber, it isn't a selling point for me (though the Star Saber stand does look pretty good with him on it in bot mode).

 

Saber's at least is that cool translucent blue with the Victory logo on it, but it is fairly standard otherwise. These "tensegrity" things on the other hand look like they're trying to accomplish some sort of added effect for the display, but I really don't quite understand exactly what that's supposed to be.

 

As a Prime collector, I ordered it. I skipped the other premium finish Optimus' because they were expensive and didn't look different enough to me. This one at least looks differently than the naked Galaxy Convoy figure.

I actually thought this looked pretty good to match the original toy, but decided not to order after I walked by my “display shelf” and remembered I had the voyager ko for that reason. Now, if this comes down to fifty or less……

 

Best chug optimist prime to date but I still want magnesprime just because I think it fits well on my G1 shelf.
If I don't use them as my G1 pre movie movie Prime I will likely use him as my 2021 let himself go a little bit still got it the dad bod Prime

 

Yeah, this one is tempting . It looks a lot better than I thought it would. If it came without the stands for a cheaper price I probably would have bit.

To the best of my knowledge, the only genetic (hereditary) Stands are somehow exclusive to the Joestar family, so the answers probably aren't going to help you much.
