(Note: If you still haven't updated your PS4 to 9.0 yet,I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you don't and to hold off and not update yet just in case you end up like me and what I'm going through right now. You won't be able to game online but it's better to have a working system than a brick,If I knew about this I would've just waited for next update or do more research)

So long story short last month I saw there was an update for the PS4 and it's 9.0 and after updating it I noticed my PS4 running slow and very strange. Felt like it took long to load up shit. Then I started getting these errors where it said a file is corrupted and it had to rebuild the database almost everytime I booted it up.

Finally Lastnight it tried to build a database again and it couldn't finish and on the screen it said I need to update it to the latest update which is 9.0 and it has already been updated since. Now I'm stuck in a dumb Safe mode Loop with no way of getting out of that screen/loop.

REALLLLLLLLLLLLLY F@CKiNG FRUSTRATING for me as we speak as I didn't plan on buying another PS4 or hell a PS5 @ the moment.

Anyone else have these issues or similar issues since this last update/9.0?

(If anyone is curious,YouTube or Google PS4 9.0)

I've got my PS4 set to automatically do updates and I played Judgment for the last several hours without an issue. Though, the O button on my controller seems to be sticking for some reason...

I just know you can stop it from doing automatic updates by fully shutting down the system rather than put it into sleep mode.

Thanks Kain but the issue is the moment I plug in my intranet cable, my PS4 will be automatically updated.

Hey to everyone who didn't have any issues with the update, count your blessings & Happy for u folks don't have to go through this B's like me;)

Just to update my situation,I ended up "Initializing it" meaning it wiped out all my data from the Internal HD (which sucked ass) but I believe I uploaded all my shit. Everything is sorta running somewhat OK but I'll get a "Data is Corrupted" error screen every so often. It does still feel like it's running like shit/slow and crashes more than I would like. Also when I plug in my external HDD,it will work fine but once again the dreaded "Database is Corrupted" B's will pop up randomly.

Seriously this still sucks all around but then again it's made me more productive than sitting on my ass playing for a few hrs. I guess that's the positive about it lol.

Just a thought to throw out there: Is it possible it's a physical problem with the drive?

Sounds like the HDD is failing and the FW update was coincidence.
