I'm with you on the DB Figuarts but i only want like 10 characters and luckily it looks like they are doing more in the entry price point, but yeah praying for rereleases or updated figures is standard there.

How does one get such a deal? I'd love a rodi but that price is killing me right now

 

for the ones i'm willing to gamble on a deal i put them in my amazon wishlist, from there you can just watch if the price ever changes or for the "used & new" price where sometimes there will be amazon warehouse offers for damaged box sales.

 

The nice thing about those is it tracks the price from when you added it. So you'll see a "xx% Since Added" note next to it.

They do NOT track if it has gone higher than when you added it, however.

High levels of copium. Just watch how bad it gets once the shield gets funded.

 

I’d also add Leader/Voyager/Commander slots in a line are pretty limited. with only 1 commander, 3 leaders, 6 Voyagers a year they want to prioritize characters that are known to American fans. Star Saber and Victory Leo taking two of those slots is a big risk.

Check the used and new section and you might be able to stumble on one with a damaged box.

It's not even original: the "polite" word the presenter used was "Super Robot".  

It's fine to emulate a more popular franchise, but Im not a fan of people who act like they made something original from copying someone else so hard. If Star Sabre really is the most popular in Japan, Im honestly disappointed. It'd b the equivalent of liking the Darth Vader TF the most! My personal fave TF is the one who uses light sabers and trained on Dagobah!

Numbers are starting to creep up more quickly... I always wonder about these crowdfunding campaigns, especially when they're run by a private company, that it's not all bullshit. Like, wouldn't it be super convenient if today we break 15,000, then tomorrow 17,000, then somehow, by maybe 10 PM EST on 10/10, we crack 20,000 and Hasbro's like "guys, we did it!!! omg! so proud of us!! wow!"... idk. Don't get me wrong, I want everything including the shield to come with this, I just think the whole system is a marketing charade.

Also, if we don't get to 20,000, then I will also say, that I think Hasbro should start a plan to offer only to the backers, the extra parts at an additional cost, similar to Kickstarter's Add-On system. After it gets backed and funded, the people who took the risk and backed it should still get a chance to buy all the "carrots" that were dangled in front of their face, otherwise I myself would be much less likely to back a similar product in the future... and as people have been saying, if Hasbro doesn't give us these parts, a 3P company will probably whip them up pretty quick, further throwing mud in Hasbro's face.
