Yawn. It’s an instaskip for me. Never been a fan of this design but great news for those who dig it!

So they chose a somewhat unpopular version of the character with what is perhaps the worst alt mode of a Transformer ever? Then they up the price over what Titans cost now? What were those designers and execs thinking?
Seriously, make a Nemesis that transforms. Or give us a pure G1 Metroplex in Titan scale (over the weird one we got). Or even the WFC version b/c that's cool. This is not a good choice. It's not even a significant design improvement over the original b/c the original was based off a bad design. Heck, why not create an all new Titan city? Or how about revisiting Cybertron as a Titan. So many ideas they could have went for but didn't. Heck, even Animated Omega Supreme would have been way cooler than this.

Some of y’all really dunk on people who are excited for a product. Not just the product, which is okay to not like, but the people themselves. Never ceases to amaze me.

Nah, they were pretty on-par with modern Deluxes in terms of size and complexity. Wedge was about ER Cliffjumper size, RiD01 Grimlock was about Siege Ironihde height, and the other two were Autobot car height.

All these people saying "oh it's bad because I think the original was bad!"

    How?
First off, Cybertron Metroplex was basically a Supreme Class toy, but it was sold at the Leader price.

2nd, this is Titan Class. Larger price point we got. And doing G1 Metroplex again would be plain stupid at this size. IMO, a price point for figures this big needs variety!

Mans is bugging lmao. Can’t believe we’re seeing actual “you’re not a real transformers fan.” from this site hahah. Not a huge fan of this design but this makes me want to drop a couple hundred just to spite you lmao.

UT toys are special in a UT kind of way. This figure appears to capture that specialness handily. Seriously...I thought the toy pictured was the actual vintage toy. It's not for me, but I'm definitely happy for the UT fans. And, if they're going to make this guy, Tidal Wave would seem like a lock, right??

The last combiner updates? No way Hasbro would avoid the opportunity to give us the rest of the G1 combiners in WFCT-level accuracy.

(that's totally not wishful thinking and I totally completely don't want Deluxe Battlemaster Seacons with legacy turret modes and water splash blast effects)

This is likely a test to see how well non-G1 titans do, much like how Kingdom tested the waters for the reintroduction of Beast Wars and other eras of TF’s. So if Metroplex sells well, I’d imagine Tidal Wave isn’t too far behind.

I was speaking more in terms of the main 4 scramble city combiners that are the go to’s (Menasor, Defensor, Superion, Bruticus). Of those 4 I think Bruticus would be the last to get a WFC update.

I really don't want Tidal Wave as a Titan. Commander? Sure.
But Titan? He wasn't that big.

He does need the Hasbro toy colors though.

Im a big fan of all the titan class figures, I have 9 of them. This is somewhat of a letdown if the mold will be the Cybertron mold. The orignal mold had size but aestically it was not that pleasing. I would have rather seen a reissue of the wfc metroplex as that figure is north or 400 for a good condation figure. It also would have been cool to get an updated version of that that was more compatable with sixgun and slammer. To those who like the mold hasbro seems to have chose, I sincerly hope you enjoy it if you choose to get it. I however will have to pass on this. I scooped up the orignal mold and am quite happy with that as its wep scales perfectly with my galaxy convoy.
