I’m not a skilled guesser, or I would have won that last Powerball.

pretty much its like people arguing Super Megatron should have been retail, then you wouldnt have had to pay 65-70 for it.

So I put in a few entries a while back for a Star Saber raffle some of my friends were hosting. It was $10 per entry. Guess who won a $100 Pipes tonight?

Ugh, why are people still talking about this "shoulda" been a mass retail release? The two biggest drawbacks of that would have been:

    1. Severely compromised design because of the lower price points. You go from a $180 budget to $90ish budget (leader class figure plus voyager class figure). That's slashing the budget in half. Even a commander class figure ($80) plus a leader class figure ($50) would have reduced the budget by $50.
    2. Risking scalpers buying up all pre-orders.

I just find it odd that a fandom that's accustomed to a pre-order system and has gotten used to buying luxury 3P products that are years away from release, this is "a bridge to far." I swear, it almost feels like this is more about animosity towards Hasbro getting a "win" and less about cost or quality of the product.

Need a bingo sheet for the repeating talking points, some sort of way to make the rotating discussion fun.

Can't wait for the total counts this weekend, should be a good time.

If I'm not mistaken, Transformers are made in Vietnam, which is now having a factory labor shortage as a lot people just went home after the lockdowns.

So there might potentially be a delay getting it produced if it keeps up.

honestly thats around my range for a guess. mid 18000s to mid 21000s. either disappointingly but not painfully close to tier 3 to squeaking past it. what really colors my disbelief is the steadier input of some chunk of international orders than past haslabs, if not for that id say 25000s

Fair. I wanted to go all in on the BW MP figures when they were announced but was quickly priced out of the line with the 3rd and 4th releases, Generations is accurate enough for my tastes, but definitely not for everyone

With any exclusive made to order product there will inevitably be people who get locked out, whether because of finances within the order window, not being in the fandom at the time, or various other reasons. Sure, there will still be higher priced pre-orders at various retailers, but basically as soon as this set ships it will cost double or more for anyone who missed out to acquire it. And while I think Haslab was the perfect avenue for this project for the reasons you outlined (and I'll add another: I love that we're getting a TF designed without any need to plan a retool into another character) there are gonna be people who will want this who won't be able to get it. It's the way it is (I'm starting to get into Dragon Ball Figuarts right now, fuck me!) but it still has a downside.

Order through Pulse, go to your account order, and use the "Request Change of Shipping Address" option.

I think I'll go with 21K as the final count as a guess.

Honestly, beyond the V-lock Cannon, everything else is gravy.

yeah i was a very choose-y MP collector, but with WFC having that "MP Lite" quality and being so expansive it was easy to switch to that as my main collection with select MPs of my favorites.
