MP44 is really awesome! Got silver leg and much like MP36 it has so much personality. And is just a lot of fun to pose.

I've been tempted by that thing a few times, but never took the plunge.

The headsculpt also sort of puts me off, but probably more for the paint application than the design. I like the stylized helmet just fine, but every time I look at it, it kind of bugs me how his mouthplate blends seamlessly into his eyes and nose-bridge area, without a break in structure or colour. But that would probably look better just by adding a bit of paint, but that all-silver area makes me think of cheaper KOs. Since till now I'd never really heard anything about the overall quality, I didn't know what to expect from it. Now I'm curious. :)

In my defense, that wasn't a very detailed review. :)

I was trying to remember what changes they made to the transformation... forgot that the doors can be manually moved to the backpack.

The rubber non-stick feet are pretty cool.

Just got the AOYI Siege Nemesis Prime. Does anyone know of a hand upgrade kit, either specifically for this figure, or a different one that would also fit?

With every KO company and their Nan owning a version of the Siege Optimus mould, I would like to see a version in white plastic, inner robot Ultra Magnus style!
    So who's onboard? ;) :p

    Trying to find a digibash?

yup here's ShanTou's distance from the Pearl River/HK area. I guess I should go there someday but I don't know if they have any good wholesale markets so it wouldn't be worth it. If they do the sellers don't know me so they'd just be douchebags anyway. They'd likely be worse than the factory people at the toy fairs. lol I could just go there to dumpster dive out the back of the factory to get parts for people :)

    Shantou_Toy_Factories_01.jpg

Most of the factories are on this "island" between the 2 rivers.

    Shantou_Toy_Factories_02.jpg

Most of the Ali/Ebay sellers aren't even there, they're in the ShenZhen and GuangZhou area, (if you click on the seller name then business info. Couple of bus rides away from me). :)

I don't think it looks as bad in person. Photos tend to exacerbate the effect. Not saying it isn't still a valid criticism, but in-hand it doesn't feel quite as pronounced.

A little paint, weathering, or even just some differentiation with a panel lining marker would likely go a long way. But I assure you, cheap he is not. I'd call the in-hand feel of the figure somewhere in the neighborhood of heavy, diecast-laden 3rd party figs I have like TE-01, MMC Backdraft, C9 Quakeblast, or a Gigapower dino. Solid and extremely nice. I bought it on a whim and was absolutely blown away when I pulled him out of the packaging.

    As you should be...

You should make friends with the factory foremen so that you can persuade them to "accidently misplace" a carton or 2...

Does anyone know of any current or upcoming Earthrise Ratchet and Ironhide KOs, since the originals are stupid expensive and hard to find?

the tricky thing with KOs is they have different batches with different corrections, high end tfs says snarl "In early batches of the counterfeit figure, the clear plastic is too dark. Later versions correct this problem."

but it seems there's a mix of those versions on sale out there, like how even the grimlock boxes are a mix of "bommander" and "commander" labeling

Golden for those that wanted a KO...

But I just can't bring myself to replace my versions 1&2, after my long sought completionist aneurysm from years back.

Not to mention having all 7 igears to fly in jet mode above (they are a thing of beauty), and I'm seekered-out.

Newest and best IMHO doesn't necessarily mean replace what I originally wanted.

That being said - that price is close enough for me to dip into the 3.0 pool just for fiddle-factor, and experience a masterpiece in toonform.

    Convince me? :lol

Love the look as it almost looks like a reaction figure, turned off from the toon grey though as an actual high-end transformer - I want white, damn it! :lol ... and the box art extendo-chassis is ridiculous... I'd worry about the quality first, but all the pics make it look sexy.

I love hybrids of officials that "fix" issues (nod to igear), but I need real reviews before I snap judgment with my wallet.

IMO, walscream was the best g1 deco... never replicated.

Sadly, no... I think the last WFC KO we saw was the BPF Siege Ultra Magnus. It's been very quiet over there in China as far as those kinds of KOs lately. :(

I tend to agree. I mean, for the best look, I think Starscream should really be a proper silver (not that ghetto "metallic" drab grey that Hasbro used to death). But if that's not an option, the matte white deco on Walmart MP Starscream really pops, and the weathering shows off the panel lines nicely. On my Walmart Screamer, I actually removed the silver from the nosecone, bringing it back to classic blue, but otherwise it's all good. The white on the v2 CHUG Starscream looks pretty good too.

The Deformation Space robot mode looks good, but that F15 altmode...? Ooof. That's awkward! I'm assuming (hoping) it's just mistranformed in the box art for some reason? :thumbdown

    Apologies if this is OT:

Got this off Taobao for my young nephew. Does anyone know if it's a KO of anything?

    儿童玩具变形飞机金刚警察合体机器人4益智百变男孩幼儿园3-5-6岁-淘宝网

It's 3 vehicles that form a helicopter (was only $2, btw).

I noticed some extra ports and parts that flip out that serve no purpose in forming the helicopter, but could possibly be used to combine with something else, like maybe form a combiner arm or leg, or something.

I didn't get a box nor instructions with it, it just comes in a plastic baggie.

So was wondering what else it can do, other than forming a helicopter, or what else there is to buy to fit with these dudes.

    Has anyone seen these before?
They look like the same style as those weird three robot zoid combiner robots from awhile back.

They're knock offs of the bandai voov gattai robot line

    レスキュー合体!!ファイヤージャイロ | ブーブステーション | 変身する乗り物ブーブが新登場!

You can see the official blue robot on this page, and the knock off in the page you linked.

Man, I really wish they'd given Classics Jetfire the same treatment. Well, preferably not quite as big, but upscaled to modern Leader size and with upgraded engineering for the legs and feet and a more proportional head and helmet.
