I beg to differ, the head is genuinely a different color from the other parts. I’ve kinda decided that the fins, biceps, and dual gun are slightly more indigo, and her head is more royal blue. The fact that I can separate them in post fairly easily shows that they are different.

The light in your robot photo isn't hitting any of those areas at the same angle because, they are all pointing in a different direction (which makes sense given that it was a pose). The heavy post work (oversaturation and the matte white plastic looking like semi-gloss pearl nail-polish/paint) is going to skew that further. The red is consistent because all of the red paint has the same finish/texture and, all of the red plastic has the same texture. I'm bringing that up because:

The surfaces/textures on my copy's missile launchers, wings & fins, the shoulders/biceps, the front half of the head, and the rear half of the head are all vastly different from each other:

The glossy plastic of the wings and fins is smooth and slick.

The matte plastic front half of the head is extremely smooth. It's not but, it almost feels like matte paint.

The matte plastic of the rear half of the head is smooth like the front half is but, it reflects considerably more light since the texture looks different.

The matte plastic of the missile launcher is rougher than the rear half of the head. Some of the flat areas reflect more light than the rear half of the head and some don't while some reflect light like a really fine grain sandpaper does (e,g, the missiles).

The matte plastic of the shoulders/biceps is the roughest. It feels smooth but it reflects light like a courser sandpaper does. The top of the shoulders though (where the 5mm ports are) are smooth and glossy like the wings/fins are.

    e.g.

    20211005_235656.png

All of those parts are doing very different things with the light source (the oval on the side of the head had a brighter light bounce than the rear half of the head since the oval is parallel to the light source like the missile launcher and shoulder/bicep was but, I just realized it was obscured in this shot; I'll try to get another picture tonight).

I don't know why all of those parts have different textures from each other. It seems intentional since the wings & fins texture matches the red plastic texture but, then they are things like the top of the shoulders (where the 5mm ports are) having a completely different texture than the rest of the shoulder as well as the front half of the head and the rear half of the head having different textures from each other. Kingdom Tracks's matte white head and shoulders/biceps were slightly rougher than the rest of the matte white plastic while the matte white missile launcher was smooth and slick like the glossy white wings and fins are. All of those parts on Kingdom Tracks reflect light the same way though. It feels super early in the mold's life for this to be a degradation issue on Kingdom Road Rage.

Here’s the unedited photo for reference.
While what you’re saying about values may be true, there’s not a compelling reason for the hues to be so different on the head versus every other part you mentioned. Even with the sats down and accounting for different amounts of reflectivity, the shapes, planes, textures aren’t enough to change the wavelength of light coming off the plastic. It may be more difficult to tell under certain lighting, and your mileage may vary depending on the acuity of your eye’s cone cells. But I’m willing to bet my years of experience as an artist and a photographer that the head is a different color.
I’m willing to chalk this one up to subjectivity, and it’s not worth a discussion in earnest.

Same. Mine just arrived from Amazon as well. And with it, the re-creation of my childhood duo of Grimlock and Slag is complete. Funny how Hasbro released these 2 first, but I suppose they are the most popular of the Dinobots. The classic T-Rex vs. Triceratops scenario. Looking forward to the next 3 to complete the group. I never was able to get them all in the 80's.

Got the vintage Cheetor and Rattrap in from Walmart. Beast Wars was past my time, I was a teenager when they came out and more into video games by then.

But I am still getting nostalgic vibes seeing these in hand. Very, very cool.
