Because that's what good quality prints would cost you on Shapeways these days. Cheap prints would like trash on your figures.

I knew about the back fillers for Megatron and the cannon holder for Soundwave, but I wasn't aware of the kits above.
Any other NA figure got upgrades worth buying?

There's a bunch of them - I didn't expext that many - and some look actually pretty brilliant. I feel tempted to try the upgrades for Megatron and Soundwave, at least, and maybe get the fillers for Ratchet and Ironhide, as they are on my NA wishlist.

hey people, I'm currently searching for these two guys but everywhere i go they're sold out and the translucent versions are the only alternative. Is there any way to find the originals out there? I don't really like a figure completely made of translucent plastic. Another thing, how big are they in vehicle mode?

The price is high because it is almost sold out. I don't know if the NA will reissue on this set, but the only reason I didn't take this set is because Outback is redundant ( current price ) and I'm waiting for the MST version Brawn.

 

i see, that's a really good point. I just started collecting with "realistic vehicle scale" in mind so since both Brawn and Outback are supposedly two stylized tiny jeeps i thought these would scale well with my DX9 Blitzwing and the MFT Gears and Swerve (and this way i don't have to lose a kidney every time i want to buy a third party car dude). If by the end of December i don't find other options i think i'll go with these ones or i'll wait Chosen Prime to restock since i saw that the estimated release date is January 20.

Glad to help. I discovered it just before I was about to pull the trigger at a much more expensive price. They're quick to ship too albeit the shipping isn't cheap.

 

i don't know if now i'm asking too much, but do you know how small are they in vehicle mode? Just checked the shipment and yeah it's a bit high (17 euros), but my main concern was the normal price. Like, if the normal price is already too much high that's an automatic no from me but this one it's alright. This is still much cheaper than other alternatives.

 

Head to toe in robot mode Brawn is about 6.5cm. From chest to back (which is the top of his vehicle mode) he's 2.5 cm. I don't know how close that comes to covering vehicle height.

Aww, I like little Outback. He was in issues 98-100 of the UK comic, although his alt mode was floaty there.
