Never mind my comment--didn't even know about the transformation step shown below.

Yeah you are. There's two bits on the forearm that need to come out for the arms to go in fully. I don't have any pictures on me at the moment, but I'd recommend taking a look at any of Emgo's videos. He showcases the bottom of the figure and how to get it into that mode.

Got it. Folding out that forearm bit helps tremendously.

4th Party Oversized AAT SFT-01 Firage Dino Mirage

29% off on showz right now, pretty good deal

Mine arrived a couple days ago, and yea- really flexy.

Hopefully this could mean it's made of PET/PC, which is a way better material for clear plastics

A couple joints in the shoulders/legs are too loose, gonna see if I can touch them up

Paint looks nice but seems like there's only one coat, already a little chipped out of the box

I shaved the sprue marks as soon as I noticed them, when I transformed it the car mode looked great (was pretty hard to get the underside to not clip the ground though)

The pin in one of the whip claws was off-centre and just clipped through the plastic on the inner claw, but was an easy fix

Overall pretty nice, and looks great on the shelf in my dorm, about a 7.5 for me

Do you have his waist transformed correctly? The entire thing is on a hinge for transformation, so if the part with the "engine" isn't rotated completely into his back, he'll flop.

Ordered! Hoping for a good one, of course, but I can probably fix little defects.

Edit 11/18- Just delivered, go ShowZ!

Edit again- Just opened him and checked him out. Complete and perfect aside from a few slightly loose screw joints. Hot diggity daffodil, he's awesome!

This guy is great! (Funny part: a minute after taking this pic, the black background, a metal shelf from a storage cabinet, tipped over and straight-up flattened these two!

Edit- In reality he's a nice bright red, my camera seems to suck a little.

No scratches or damage; I laughed for a sec then thought, Oh crap!

I do see the slight flimsiness people have mentioned, and he's lighter than he looks. But the QC on mine is great. And like I said before, ShowZ got him in my sweaty paws in 10 days flat.

Ok, so I have a little bit of a story for this guy. When I first got him from ShowZ, everything seemed good...until I transformed it. I was already familiar with the mold, as I already owned the original Firage. I couldn't get the front wheels tucked in. Upon closer inspection, I realized that the shoulder joints were assembled upside down. They're pinned, and I've removed pins before, so I thought it would be no problem. Well, it turns out that in order to remove the pin, surgery would have to be performed, because there was only a hole on one side, and the other was molded shut plastic.

First, I emailed ShowZ to see if I could get a replacement for the shoulder joints. They obliged, and sent me the replacement upper torso. Only problem was, they sent me a replacement that was the size of the original Firage, and not the OSKO. So, after a couple of beers and some courage, I got my drill out. I was able to drill a hole in the plastic to remove the pins, and flip the shoulder joints. Now it transforms sans issues. Mission accomplished! :) .

Damn dude that story was a roller coaster! Well done on the drilling and flipping. What are you gonna do with your tiny torso?

I don't really have plans for it. I wonder how Show Z gets these parts. Are they from returned, broken figures that they keep incase someone needs a replacement piece?

I think they request them from the manufacturer, who probably has many spare parts laying around, especially if there’s a widespread QC issue where they’re gonna need a couple hundred of one part laying around.

Does anyone know where this piece goes? I transformed mine, and it popped off when I was moving the head, can't figure out where it belongs.
