Not understanding the use of a 'fake mouse head' in robot mode, when they become his shoulders in the TM version. Are they saying those parts are going to be fake? That's really too bad if so.

I can see why they would do this for a few reasons. Firstly, in the animation, the rat head shoulders are a lot smaller in robot mode than the beast mode rat head is, so it would be essentially impossible to scale it down. I think it's also to facilitate the upside down backpack issue. The rat head would need to make it all the way to the other end of the figure to become the shoulders if a rotating backpack isn't possible. It could also be to give the beast head a different expression/expressions.

No different to Takara using fake Cheetah/Raptor chests for Cheetor and Dinobot on the MP's. As long as it looks good in both modes, I'm happy for them to do what they need to.

Yeah, honestly, fake shoulder parts for Rattrap isn't a bad choice.

Yeah, Cheetor's fake parts I hated. I actually bought the figure and just couldn't do it. Sold him to a friend of mine. Dinobot I understand because that really is impossible, where as I'd take larger shoulder panels on Rattrap if they are the same as Rattrap's beast mode head.

I just hate fake parts. Funny enough, I'm much more open to it on Beast Wars characters, but there are some things I just don't see the need for them to fake (even if RT's shoulder panels being fake makes some sense). And it's taken on way too much popularity for my tastes to the point that it's getting into everything else. Especially when there aren't going to be any options in regards--no one else is doing MP TM Beast Wars, really. I don't care for that need of accuracy and prefer practicality.

One thing I hope that can make everyone happy is that I can just take them off and he won't look bad without them. Give me that option, and 'fake it' all you want. My Rattrap will just look different from the show at that point, and I'll be fine with it.

I too remember his shoulders being broader, and I had the same thought when the ToyWorld TM Megatron came out. I think I trust their judgement more than mine, but to my untrained eye, the animation model seems to have a slightly more elongated torso and slightly broader shoulders, two changes which would go hand-in-hand during the transformation... Both of these companies must not have felt the same way.
but as I mentioned, I trust their judgement much more than my own on this.

I agree. I'm usually kind of a stickler for scale, but with TM Megatron and all the big Season 2/3 guys, I'm fine with them being a little underscaled. As long as they are taller than the characters that they are taller than in the show. In season 3 their sizes just got completely out of hand. The characters could hardly stand in the same room and certainly couldn't sit in the same chairs. Perfectly MP-Scaled Season 3 characters would be tough to display with the rest of the line, would be unwieldy to transform, and would be very expensive.

The smaller-than-MP (but still huge) size that JX chose for TM2 Megatron was a good choice. All the Season 3 guys filing in between Takara S1 Megatron and JX Winged Dragon would leave me really happy. The exception being Optimal Optimus, but if the Oversized Beast Gorira is eye-to-eye with JX TM2 Megatron, I'll be happy since they are counterparts.

Will share it from time to time when it is relevant but those are early info from the rep. That's why I don't share too much unless it comes to near release or the info is more solid

The recent info is the crawl of T-Rex can rotate and become the shoulder cannon like shown in animation and the wings on their Optimal Optimus will be metallic paint
    Currently the group is full.
U got it right. That's the exact reason given

I kind of love faux parts. MP Cheetor’s beast head went to the right place in his t and formation but, because it wouldn’t look show accurate, TT had a faux head right in front of it. Same story with Dinobot. It’s the only way to deal with the mass-shifting, compressing and warping of parts that occurred all over the place.

Show accuracy (bot mode over beast mode) has and will always be my priority so achieving that by any means necessary is fine with me; even blasphemous parts-forming is acceptable for those ‘too impossible to even try’ like Terrorsaur.

Any rumblings on the WeChat about potentially upscaling their Optimal Optimus? I heard a lot of people on Wechat were disappointed about his size too.

Me too. I kind of view it as attention to detail on the behalf of the creators. They aren't just saying the beast mode head is good enough, they are are looking at it and seeing it's not going to be screen accurate and taking the time and effort to give us an accurate representation in both modes. If they can fit the fake parts into the transformation too, then that's a bonus.

I think most people have no issues with fake parts if it's for mass shifting.

Do you know if they will ever release the first run colors of Optimus Primal again? I'm tired of getting duped by retailers who show pictures of that one but give me the inferior 2021 reissue colors instead.
