I think with a new branch being opened, even Hasbro considers this dead. I think we can forget about this things existence. (Or lack of existence)

 

I think Hasbro is basically saying that hey, we've had enough issues with other companies in the past. We'll just have our own company make a AAA Transformers game from here on out

 

Why not just bring certain affinity to it lol I mean it be easier than starting over from scratch

 

Because you can’t just get a studio from another company to work under you. You’d have to buy the entire company for that to happen.

 

If they have to create their own studio to develope their own games, then something is seriously wrong. If hasbro is doing this, then they seriously have no faith in the game, especially since it's lists tf as an ip to make new games, even though they should already be making a new game.

It sounds like we will get an announcement sometime in the future that they had to merge and cancel this game to create a whole new one.

This new company coming out of nowhere to announce Hasbro IP games on a Triple A scale makes me "certain" that this game is dead now. You don't just ditch a company you've leased your IP to these past three years with promises of it being a triple A title for no reason. Failure to deliver anything, or going way past deadlines was this game's death long before this point. At least the good news is Hasbro is starting to see the value of the TF video game market again, hopefully enough to make memorable experiences.

 

So china just implemented a spending limit for people under the age of 18, $31 a month for 8-15 year Olds and $61 for 16-18 year Olds on top of the three hours a week limit, plus they are now incentovising people to report other people who break these new bullshit rules. Not to mention they are constantly implementing more and more strict rules to limit gaming. If you really want to know why we never heard anything about the game is because the Chinese market failed to be profitable and they most likely abandoned the game immediately to find new ways to make money as gaming in China will most likely see a massive dip in revenue due to new regulations. It lines up well especially with the news that Hasbro went and created their own studio.

This may seem like not that big of a deal, but china is a HUGE section of profits for the gaming market and now that certain companies are losing billions because of new policies, we have to question what new bs are companies going to implement to make up for the new market loss and get their revenue back.

Every sign is pointing that this game isn't happening, I don't like it, but no other game in existence that has this much trouble ended up being a thing or good. I think this game has been long dead and we are now just hearing about the repercussions.

I don't think a "we fooled you moment" is coming and they say sike the game is real, I think they have had massive development issues and finally said fuck it, we'll do it ourselves. Not only does this give them more control over what happens, but it also saves them money in the long run to create it in house.

Why? No new studio has been confirmed to take over yet. A new game and studio have not been fully confirmed, yes hasbro created their own studio, but have yet to confirm they are in the works for a new TF game. Yes it's on the list, but until then, this thread is still relevant.

Why? This game has not been fully canceled yet. The other game, if their is one or going to be one will be a whole new thread on its own. Till then, this thread is still relevant. Even if this game is canceled, it is still relevant because people will still talk about what wrong like Transformers Online.

 

No game is fully canceled, just “stuck in development hell” or “secretly shelved, and canceled”. We will never officially Hear about this again, it’ll just eventually fade. After enough game cancellations you tend to learn these things.

 

No we will learn about this being cancelled, they spent how many millions of dollars to try and make it, so somewhere, some financial record will show that this was a thing. That's the only guarantee I've seen in gaming for past games is that they have to tell the investors it's shit canned and report it as a financial loss.

 

Everything is up in the air about this and all we are talking about in this forum is a triple A transformers game

 

A specific AAA game that is supposedly to be created by Certain Affinity and Splash Damage and published by Tencent. Once again, until proven otherwise or a new thread is created for another game being made, this thread I still about the Certain Affinity game that may or may not still be happening.

Its literally the name of this thread, Certain Affinity Transformers Online.

 

Seems pretty unlikely at this point, but here it is for those not keeping track. Supposedly, they will announce 40-ish new games and/or content on Dec 9th. The game awards and most other events have been incredibly lacking recently so I doubt it's gonna happen, but thought it was worth mentioning. Possible, but unlikely.

I have even less hope for it being announced even in 2022 since Rise of the Beasts just got delayed to 2023.
