Yup. That is the video I followed and it helped a lot. I was able to go back from alt to bot mode fairly "easily" without having to watch a video after following that video from bot to alt.

 

Is anyone else bothered by how transparent the cockpit is? It is one of two issues that are preventing me from picking this guy up.

Excellent pic! See I’m kinda torn on the slightly thicker Null Rays. I mean on the one hand, thinner Null Rays would be more toon accurate. However, I kinda like how they built them to transform and tho they’re thicker at the top because of it. They do make him seem more imposing with like a shoulder pad type feel. If I don’t swap out the Null Rays for a 3D print. Or use MP11 Null Rays as a substitute, I’m fine with them as is. Kinda cool they built transformations into them to become the missiles. Makes sense to me given their function as dual weapons.

 

The null rays look fine to me. In fact, due to the way they transform, they look better than the ones on MP-52.

The cockpit goes the other way and yes, I MUCH prefer the darker orange used on MP-52. I don't even mean the clouded faux cockpit (which is a lovely amber) - just the standard jet mode cockpit.

I think one of the problems is the light grey plastic used for the cockpit interior. If that was all painted a gun-metal grey the orange would look darker as a matter of course.

I've said it before - I'd snap up a DS-01 in MP-52 colours in a heartbeat.

curious how he looks next to weijiang Megatron. I love this as the best representation of SS but think the Weijiang Megatron is the best version of megatron out there. The size difference may be too far off to display together though.

Best Starscream to go with WJ Megatron is either the MP-11 OSKO, or the Zeta starscream coming soon. Otherwise the rest are MP scaled so they’ll be pretty small.

 

Ditto! i wouldn't mind them bigger   and because of marvel comics they have always been shockwaves troops to me which is why i have them standing next to mp29 in my display

i know its not spot on match but that tiny part painted makes a huge difference to the look of the bot mode , anyone else done this?

Yup, I painted him silver. He looks awesome with MPP-10.

 

Very nicely done. Had me legitimately questioning if I had missed a metallic reissue at some point.
