Kind of cool, but who was asking for this?…
Bandai can’t be that blind to the fact that all we want are White Blaze, the Warlords, Kayura and Talpa…

Are they having like RW/ST event/anniversary because that’s the only reason I can see this being solicited and what’s more interesting is preorders close at roughly the end of the month as opposed to 1-1.5 months after most p-Bandai toys close.

I might be missing something, maybe an OVA/movie anniversary but the 35th anniversary of the series is 2 years away. Maybe Bandai is trying to cash in while they can before Sentinel makes their own version

I'm thinking along the same lines here. Senpai Bandai has probably noticed Sentinel Samurai Troopers selling out, and wants a piece of the pie.
Is the Bandai Armor plus line any good, or should I pass and stick with Sentinel's offerings?

The Bandai molds are VERY dated at this this point.
The original Wildfire was released in 2009, and most of the releases save for a few specific ones have suffered from broken hip joints (the original Wildfire release, Strata, and Black Inferno seem to be the most spared; the rest are almost guaranteed to break one or both hips).

The proportions are definitely better on the Sentinel toys, but I've heard they're also a lot more finicky in some ways.

Many of us are just unwilling to unload/store our complete Bandai sets and re-collect/re-invest in the Sentinel line. :)

They were okay for their time, I’ve never liked the proportions when unarmored. Some of the armor felt like the connection points could wear down over time if removed/reattached a lot.

I much prefer the proportions overall on the Sentinel figures.

I’m hoping they announce a reissue for Ryo soon or I will have to cancel my preorders :(

I was able to get one at the last minute before they were sold out, but I hope so too. Even if they announce they'll reprint him after getting through the other members of the team. Just so you know.

Anyone more plugged in heard anything about when the next Sentinel figures will be released and announced? I know Sage is set to release "summer" and Rowen is slatted for "September 2021", but I feel like there is no way Rowen doesn't get pushed back a few months now. Would they release them back to back like that assuming Sage comes out in the next few weeks?

Why would people even want to buy these if they're just going to have the same hip joint problems...have they fixed that? I doubt it some how.

    Yeah, I have no idea.
I love my complete set, but these ARE 10-year-old toys. Not really sure why they're reissuing these, especially as everyone probably knows of the hip joint problems anyways.

I was already surprised 10 years ago when they released these the first time; was pleasantly surprised for some good (at the time) Ronin Warrior figures, considering that Ronin Warriors was already a really old series back then.
Fast forward 10 years... is there actually demand for these at this point? The TV series originally aired in 1988 in Japan (33 years ago) or 1995 in North America (26 years ago)...

All my armor plus figures are in a box right now. I think every figure has at least one broken hip. I’m thinking about jumping on the sentinel figures, but I missed The first one. The late tax is too high, but I could always just settle for the white armor when they make it.

I just skimmed this thread yesterday wondering if anything had updated from Sentinel or the 3rd party making the Warlords. Did not see something from Bandai coming.
I'm ok with them re-releasing Cye. The Armor Plus figures can be expensive to track down now if new, so if this helps people get one that's ok with me.

^^ Didn't know it was releasing on Blu-ray. Does it include the OVAs as well?

Is there a release date? Been waiting for this since I sold my DVD boxed set for like $400 a decade ago:lol
