Just opened my set up, and all is good with it.

No missing parts, no loose joints, and no effed up paint apps (so far), so I'm extremely happy now.

Just managed to sell both of my Skywarps in under an hour on eBay. Sold them for $25.00 each with free shipping. Made some money back, so I can buy more interesting figures.

 

I'm so hoping for a G2 release of the ER mold. G2 Sideswipe is the best Sideswipe.

 

Finally got my set... love it... excerpt for the looseness in seules legs. Added the nonnef shoulder Canon and a 3p rifle that is easy better than the stock gun.

My only issue with the Sideswipe mold is the lack of spoiler which I can fix with a 3P kit.

 

You know red alert looks more like sideswipe’s twin then sunstreaker.

 

Which custom company makes the smoothest spoiler for sideswipe, that has the least amount of 3D printing lines in it? I've been looking at jrc, but nonnef has really good quality in the past

 

I'd just wait fit nonnef personally... he does have a spoiler for RA already.

 

Nonnef, but there's a caveat, you have to buy 2 of his kits ($7.50 total). He made spoilers for Siege Sideswipe/Red Alert, you'll need those for the actual spoiler, and he made adapters for the Earth mode that you'll need but they only come in black.

No waiting necessary, he's only doing the adapters and reusing the old spoilers

Those Nonnef spoilers look okay, but I dig the JRC ones better.

 

Fair, but they were asking about the smoothest Spoilers, jrc's are nice for sure but the red alert one I got from him had noticeable print lines and definitely weren't as smooth as nonnefs injection molded plastic

 

Mine's like that too! I can only really see it at certain angles, and it's such a slight difference that it doesn't bother me (and I'm pretty sensitive to that sort of thing), but it's definitely there.

I'd recommend waiting, there will probably be lots of options to choose from in another month or so. It didn't take long for the market to be flooded with a bunch of different Sunstreaker spoilers in different styles. I wouldn't get Nonnef's unless the black connectors don't bother you.

 

Anyone successfully strip the paint off red alert and SS' missiles so you can swap them with bare plastic?

 

Anyone still wanting to buy Skywarp? (US only, please.) Mint, still strapped to the box. Any takers?

yep I did the same thing. I don’t collect BW. I don’t have any attachments to BW but the figures all look interesting. It took a lot of will power to not collect the new BW figures. But with the SG capsule, Haslab Victory Saber, and my other hobbies - something had to give.

 

I still have my Skywarp. No bites, so far. =\
