Dam he looks good in paint! Got in around 9000 mark so im super stoked. The forearms gaps look far better with paint in them. Only thing that looks weird is the neck being so dam thick, makes him look like hes chadding it up haha. I echo the statements of wishing he had a longer sword. Im hoping a 3rd party makes a sword thats all one piece that can be used for robot mode display that looks more like the MP design. Doesnt need to transform or anything just a solid accessory. Maybe theyll even have one in tier 3 with the shield!

The MP only had the one sword blade (plus the secondary small sword for Saber). If you have a second long blade, then you bought the KFC upgrade kit.

 

I've spent so much money, I forgot most of it wasn't to Hasbro but then again I don't consider 90+ dollars nothing to sneeze at

Boooo, chrome! Would much have preferred the chest to just be painted metallic gold. But as has been said, stuff can change, and hopefully that's one of them. Hopefully the sword stays metallic, since it looks to be metallic painted right now (although that goes into the body, doesn't it, so chrome would probably be very off the table?).

I'm really hoping we get pictures of the proposed modified sword sooner rather than later. The sword being perpendicular to the hilt just looks so weird.

 

I cannot wait for this, wonder what his box will be like? I would love a g1 inspired

 

Oh shit, they actually put chrome on it! Hopefully it'll be durable enough. My only real nitpick is that I wished the eyes were a deeper metallic blue, but the color they chose is good enough imo. Other than that, he looks so fucking good. So happy that I backed this!

 

So who said that the sword has a different orientation? Been seeing people mention it has a different look it can have and I’m just wondering like where did that come from?

It was one of the earliest things that was stated about the figure. During the initial livestream, perhaps? I dunno, I didn't watch it.

It's something that was already fixed in one of their printed models. The initial renders shown on Pulse have a single slot for the blade, so it can only be oriented in that perpendicular position. The physical prototypes that they've been showing off at the various shows had a + shaped slot instead, so that it could mount in either direction.

 

Hey uh the 3d model turnaround shows the shield on the back of the jet mode???

Actually what I'm thinking about is my MP King ExKizer/Great ExKizer he has a tiny sword that stores inside the legs and then a second full sized sword.

 

The sword blade can be removed and rotated 90 degrees, this was demonstrated on the reveal stream with the original prototype so you can have toy and show accuracy depending on your whims.

 

Dang, I hate that he's got chrome, but the prototype still looks fantastic. Can't wait for it to release next year!

I love how good this looks. Glad it got funded and look forward to when it finally ships. I still think the tier unlocks should be included but oh well. Take what I can get.
