hes not my style but looks very cool! i love legends and combiners so if they release a box set and predaking looks cool , i will snag it. for the time being i will see how the rest of the team turns out

 

Being a Filipino from one of the poorer areas of the Bay Area (yes, they exist), I'm never one to complain about someone trying to save a little money, but.......it's $28 at some stores.

Not sure how much you're expecting to save with a box set. Just sayin.

 

Guys, I was able to buy this almost at 1/2 price because I bought MP Firmament from the same retailer (in Hong Kong). I would your retailer about that if you happened to buy the MP version too...

It is called risk management: the risk of missing out totally or paying more against the potential saving of a box set or the dropping of price, if one waits long enough.

However, one must have to take into account that the shipping cost of a box a set to US if it ever happens.

Unfortunately this doesn't apply to US retailers

 

Did anyone else buy from Terry's? I paid in full but I don't see the ship notice and I haven't heard back from them yet. First time using his site so I'm not sure if I need to tack on extra for payment as the price went up recently a slight amount.

 

i don't think so. i know Terry has been having a little bit of issues as of late. so he can't stay on top of everything like he use to. but from what i hear he is still getting his orders out and eventually they get updated into the system. but he is still shipping at a normal-ish pace.

i'm also just a little curious as to what you paid for your bot?

 

Which Firmament batch did you buy? And did you buy it from Taobao? Last thing I read on here for ShowZ, they have no idea what anyone is talking about when asked if they (the people who bought MP version) were going to get a discount on the legends version.

Risk management was the whole point of my post, my man. I'm just not sure you can really expect, even in a box set, that these figures will be under $28 a pop, especially the way prices on everything are going up. Like I said, far be it for me to judge. I'm not. You do you. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't. I'm just asking how much you can realistically expect to save over the current prices.

Maybe I'm wrong. Sh*t, I hope so. Depending on what Predaking looks like, I'll still need to decide if I'm going to buy a third set to display and a boxed set would be great.

The good news is that Firmament was the expensive one in the group, at least as far as the current MP versions go. If the legends scale follows suit, perhaps Landbull and Ferocious will be a few bucks cheaper, though, cheaper than $28 is hard to fathom.

As far as shipping box sets go, shops like Show.z and TerryTFS offer free shipping on almost all orders and BBTS offers a flat $4 shipping charge. So, that part of a potential box set shouldn't be so bad if you shop around and know where to look.

 

I bought a bunch of items from him over the past couple weeks and all orders were shipped within 3 days. So, he's getting them out there, at least that was my experience.

 

As far as I know, this is a thing only for local buyers (mostly through Taobao) but not oversea buyers.

 

It was 26 when I bought it. It's like 29 or such now, so the difference is negligible

 

Just curious, how do you go from "i'm from a poor area" to "I want to buy 3 sets"? I'm confused on how you want to portray yourself. As a top-tier budget player or a boujie collector?

Anyways, my take on waiting for a box set is they are known to be noticeably cheaper for most companies. If not cheaper, then at least the same price. If they happen to not have a box set or the box set ends up being more expensive, I'm more than okay with not owning these figures anyways. I'm already on the fence for this line so no risk for me. Reward is either negligible or considerable.

 

Wait... so Firmini can become an arm not just for their legends-scale Predaking, but also for Firmament?!?


I wonder if Firmini can combine with Cang Toys' other full-size Predacons. And I further wonder if the rest of their legends-scale Preds will also be able to combine with the full-size Preds. What a wild set of toys!!

 

Where I'm at now and where I began are two different places. I'm lucky enough, monetarily responsible enough and worked hard enough to be in a position now to buy something when I want it. In fact, much of my collecting now directly stems from wanting things that I could not afford to have when I was a child and now being in a position to get those things. I don't care about portraying myself in any fashion to anybody other than my wife, daughter or mother. When I feel like talking about something, I do. It has nothing to do with a portrayal and everything to do with what is being said in that moment.

I brought up my ethnicity and upbringing in jest and to make a point, that's it. Don't read more into it than what it is. The forum's cool, and I love to banter and joke and discuss things, but there's very few f*cks given as to how people see me outside of the previously mentioned trio. Sorry.

And, by the way, for everybody waiting for a box set, I totally get it, not that it matters. But the price on these this figure is so low, I just can't imagine it being cheaper in the future.

 

I’d be way too caught up in fomo to think of waiting for a boxed set that may never happen.

 

holy junk, my mini firmament just headed further south from a shipping hub by 932 miles. I thought I was going to get it tomorrow...guess not  . eh who knows
