Do you guys think this will get a box set to save some money? Debating whether I should pay piece by piece or wait for something that might not even come. If in the future we find out that there is no box set and I never jumped on this piece-by-piece, I will have no regrets not owning this set.

Your last sentence got really convoluted. If you’re worried they never finish the set, then don’t buy, nothing in this world is for sure. But if you really want what they do make, then buy now or you might never get them, since a box set is not assured. If you only kinda sorta want them, and won’t feel bad you missed out because you are ambivalent about them now, then wait and see if you get a box set later.

This is the first set by this company, much less its first legends set... who can say?

so i just picked up this bot from @ToyDojo and i have to say this is definitely one of the nicest legends bot i have ever owned.

the paint and details on this thing are f'ing insane. so much bang for the buck especially for 32 dollars. cang knocked this out of the park. i look forward to whatever else they do.

it is and there are so many joints and moving hinges that you don't even notice at first. they also have tiny tampos and what not.

this is easily the most done up legends bot i have in my collection.

the bar has been set and this is the kind of quality and finish we should be getting for our money.

In my opinion Cang Toys is the quality standard that every other 3rd party company should strive towards. They are nailing it and I hope they continue their track record of perfection.

Yeah, I was already interested with the initial reveal, but with all the in-hand pics and reviews I’m totally sold. Just ordered him off of TCP, once he’s in I’m shipping my stash.

it should be updated by tomorrow. but they definitely have them in stock and worst case if he didn't get a chance to add them to the site yet. you can always call in the morning or whenever and buy one over the phone. @ToyDojo can take your money for a bot in any way imaginable.

Just got mine today. Fantastic figure! $27 and worth every penny. I had a feeling they would have to raise the price, but I'm hoping that initial pre-orders of the future figures stay in the $30-$35 range.

But I love this guy. There's so much flipping style in him. The wings alone have so much character. But even without them, it's a very solid figure! good articulation, good poseability, good plastics, colors! Only thing I can call him out for is no wrist swivel, but while I know plenty of figures at this size can do that, it doesn't bother me if they don't have it. Waist swivel and enough ankle tilt (BOTH, sideways AND front/back) to get good poses, and all the other primary articulation...I'm good. Wonderful purchase.

And some comparison pics minus the dynamic poses to show off height:

A bunch, because we all have different collections. So hopefully you can pick your poison here.

Comparison with the leaders and some bigger bots.

And just some of the bigger bots.

there is a wrist swivel I accidentally turned one of mine earlier.

but the wrist are crazy tight fresh out of the box. you will have to pop the hands out and loosen them outside of the bot. the way they are mounted won't allow it.

Hey, you're right. And it is crazy stiff--actually pops out the other hinge (for transformation) pretty easily if you aren't careful. I'll have to loosen that up a bit. Good catch!

This thing looks amazing but I can't jump in without knowing how the combiner will be.

You can tell the quality is there, but still..

i don't think the final combined mode should be an issue.

this might be called cang toys or whatever. but their combiner work is well established. i don't think thr smaller size will be an issue.

I thought they are Zeta under a different name, which means to me at least that they will do a quality job. MP combiners from Zeta are great in my opinion.

If that is not true (that Cang Toys is Zeta) then they haven't established nothing on how the combiner will stand.

That said I won't order a Porsche if only they show the desing of the doors.. for the same reason.

well they are under the toyworld, zeta family tree and whatever else they are going by these days.

so their gestalt work has been tested plenty of times. these actually use the same combiner ports as the other bots.

What a weird analogy... but, your call. From what I've seen, even if they don't manage to complete the combiner, this figure looks fantastic and I can't wait until mine gets here.

Well I don't "double dip" with any mold, and in my case those are going to be displayed as combiner 100% of the time, like any other combiner I have. That's why I like to see the combined form before.

The figure looks great and seems of solid quality, not saying anything against it.

Join me and the "wait until box set" crew :)
Just don't regret the chance of there being no box set and/or prices are higher.
