You know, it's a shame these reissues aren't updating the colors at all. It basically means only Rattrap, Inferno, and Scorponok are worth getting for me. Everything else has a previous release that has a far better color scheme.

At the very least, it's a shame they won't at least use the Japanese colors for Terrorsaur.

But they are, just not dramatically. I think it was said in the Scorponok thread, but these reissues almost seem like "colour variants" that may have existed back in the day, with the same paint details in slightly more accurate colours. Primal's darker blue head or Rattrap's black eyes, or Scorps being grey instead of black, etc.

We got two lines that went for more show-accurate, updated decos. These seem to be more focused on replicating the aesthetics of the originals with minor tweaks.

How do you know they won't have something similar? It was a pretty minor redeco all things considered. I expect they'll probably leave his helmet red to be more show-accurate at least.

But then they're not really reissues?

Then I guess they aren't reissues now since they apparently did change the colors.

That said I don't care what they're called, I just want the best possible colors.

No, I get it. I don't understand why you'd reissue a toy and then change something (at least not as dramatically as we've seen on some figures...Astrotrain).

Because it gives you the mold you love but with more accurate colors.

Is the Reissue Terrorsaur the only one we are supposedly getting? I haven't been able to keep up with everything lately!

If so, better that than nothing. He was my favorite BW design aside from Dragon Megatron.

Besides the Scorpy that dropped out of nowhere, there's also Terrorsaur, Tarantulas, K9, and Cybershark apparently.

He'll be getting a leader figure in the next year, allegedly.

I would absolutely buy a reissue of this guy. Mine is still in one piece, but I'd love to be able to retire him to permanent storage have one I could display in bot mode without fear of him breaking in twain when I transformed him.

Mutant Soundwave, Grimlock, Magnaboss, Torca...all good reissue candidates.

I feel like since I still have a decent amount of the originals, the only reissues I'd buy would be Rampage, Depth Charge and Tigerhawk. I just recently dug out TM primal and put him on display.

As much as the prices are way past the point of ripoff and unacceptable, I am buying every single one of these! And this epic version of the theme is from another thread, but it’s too cool not to share!

I remember having a similar problem with my basic bat Optimus Primal way back in 1999...The teeth that make the spring mechanism work had skipped a tooth making it loose and gappy. I just had to gently force the right tooth back in the gear. Hope that makes sense. It is a simple problem which is hard to explain.

The figure possibly is thus precisely because it is a reissue, since the original was very firm, that proves that perhaps Hasbro sent the factory a used and half-worn mold instead of keeping the mold from 25 years ago (Since according to in an interview, said mold was lost).

Yep. Known issue with the gear mechanism. Has nothing to do with any degradation of being a reissue. My copy is fine. Should be an easy fix for you as above.
