I really shouldn't want/need another G1 Ravage, but somehow I am convincing myself that I do.

 

Well I'll be looking forward to seeing this nowhere other than eBay for over $300.

X-9 Ravage was my favorite for years! Very excited about this. 

 

Preorders maybe. But stock? No way.

 

Called my EBGames today and put in orders for Ravage and Zartan.

 

Do you have skus for any other exclusives? Looking for Trapper Wolf and Pudgy Pig. Plus, I tried preordering, and they said no.

 

$73 for a deluxe and a G1 cassette. Hilarious.

Here I thought that was overpriced for a leader-class fig, but I guess all that coke Hasbro's snorting doesn't pay for itself.

 

WTF? Canadians can just pick this up in stores, but we have to worry to lose out on this unless we log in on time to HasbroPulse?

 

Or, like me, preorder in japan and wait for next year?

 

That price is CAD, which absolutely sucks for Canadians, but is just a little bit over the current asking price in USD.

Shows that Hasbro doesn't really trust the US market/retail. Hasn't for a while. This started before the pandemic. (Just adding that before someone comes in and plays that card...) I kind of see their point, but kind of don't. Yes, it's clear that some exclusives just don't sell well, while others you can't keep on the pegs/shelves but it's too costly to do another run and hope it all sells. Examples of ones not selling: Walgreens Wreck-Gar, Titans Return Clones 2-Pack, Titans Return Brainstorm. All of those could be found for years after their initial release. Examples of ones selling like gangbusters: Almost anything Amazon carries since POTP, Target exclusives, some Walmart exclusives. (Mainly due to FOMO.)

If you look at what those exclusives are you can sort of figure out what does work and what doesn't. Apparently, Ravage here is not on the list of what doesn't work. It doesn't help that they're trying to offset the cost of the die-cast in the G1 figure. We're also not the most important or even biggest market out there, now. We're pretty low on the totem pole as that goes. And yet, somehow... We still fare better than the UK, Europe, and pretty much all of South America. (Which really sucks for them. I don't know why they aren't a bigger blip on Hasbro's radar. At least the UK has Pulse now, so they're at least beginning to try.)
