So random idea, could this guy also be thought of Shattered Glass Grapple?

 

It's shame that redeco KOs are so rare in general (outside of neon dollar store insanity). I get it if an alternate deco requires new work (like designing police badges to make an MP Deep Cover), but stuff that's literally just swapping plastic colors (Black Ironhide) would seem like an easy thing to do. I guess it's just not that interesting to the KO makers themselves. They certainly will put in the work to do all kinds of work for a movie toy KO.

Definitely seems like an option. I don't know if he actually appeared in any fiction, but there's a number of customs of things such as RTS Grapple into Hauler colors that people have called SG Grapple.

 

Quite so, it's not like Hauler is being released next week, it's at least 6 months, if not more, away. More then enough time to get another factory allocation in and produce additional copies.

 

Unless they paid for exclusivity.

 

That was my second thought: Approach XTB, offer to pay more for the rights to buy everything.

 

Seems like ShowZ thinks they're still getting their pre-order allotment of Caravaggio. Sold-out pre-order but no indication that they're in a panic or think they need to cancel POs.


I'm happy to hear this. My PO for Hauler looks to be safe. Of course this is just the ShowZ assistant to the regional manager while the "main man" is off on his business trip. Maybe he's off visiting XTB and the other 3P suppliers or checking out the box factory.

I doubt they will or they would've pulled them when TCP did. If they have enough preorders, they'll probably try to leverage their position if for some reason xtb sold them all to one guy.

 

I haven’t heard anything back from TCP about my preorder or the figure in general yet. Whatever is going on, I’ve got a feeling they’re holding off on commenting on it until they have everything sorted out. They’re probably trying to figure out the details of it all and what the options are as well.

 

Welp, I have my PO in at ShowZ. If they cancel it because of this move they just saved me a $120. Simple as.

I really wish XTB would stop with all the self-sabotage. Maybe it makes sense for them because they're selling them all right away but overall it makes people like me not want to seek out their stuff if they pull shenanigans like this.

 

So, after a quick look around TFS, BBTS, and Toy Dojo all still have this guy up for PO. also TFDirect, Show Z and Baba, so it seems a bit odd if one retailer has bought "all" of these that so many other stores still have it listed. but, we don't know what we don't know at this point.

 

So, surprisingly I haven’t heard anything back from TCP. However, my order is now showing in my preorder list and he’s back up on their site, although listed as preorder sold out.

Long story short, XTB decided to send all of the stocks to one retailer in the US after the pre-order was already offered to us so we had to make sure we could secure the stocks for everyone for the pre-orders we already had in place. We have done that now so they are showing back in your account if you have it on pre-order. Sorry for the inconvenience but this is the type of stuff we have to deal with from time to time from these companies.

 

Awesome, thanks for the update on this and clarifications. Mystery solved. Had a feeling that’s what happened, and really glad it could be worked out to keep existing preorders in place. One of the reasons I love dealing with you guys.

 

TF Source probably screwing everyone again. Would surprise me if it wasn't them.

Can't wait to get this....I might get Grapple as well. But I see a lot of back heavyness here!!! I love how well the robot is hidden in Alt mode.
