But I also like these better than the original, although they remind me of Klingon boots, which I don't like.

Honestly think the rest of the kit still makes it well worth it even without the waist piece

At least they designed it with integrated storage in mind. Perhaps a reference to Bruce Leeroy's belt buckle...y'know, to hold up dem britches.

Looks similar to the Tim Heada kit that I've been eyeing, just a bit wider to actually put the cannon over his shoulder.

I think the Tim Heada one with the Nonnef kit from Siege is probably what I'll go with. Nonnef's is just two 90 degree peg adaptors that give it up and down tilt. The downside was it shifted the cannon over a bit to the side. That should help offset the small width of the Tim Heada kit now.

I like those Galvatron feet but not sure how to feel about the spikes. Are those accurate to any version of Galvatron?

    I believe they're IDW inspired?

I've been looking for an upgrade set like this for my Galvatron, but the spikes are a turn off for me; I'd pick up a spikeless version in a heartbeat.

@wheeljackfan16 maybe an idea for a future upgrade kit? Given Kingdom Galvatron's annoyingly stumpy feet, I feel like there's definitely a demand for something like this.

I'm not sure why ya'll are overlooking the most obvious and highly effective solution???

Two rotating adapters from Nonnefs store.
A few bucks at that too.

It gives all the articulation you need to offset the position you might have the arm in so the rocket always remains in the correct position.

It plugs right into the hole on the back of the shoulder....and you're not adding anything extra to the figure so Mirage dosen't look like a linebacker.

Not only looks perfect, but works perfectly too.

I sure want to pay $50+ USD for your obvious solution as a non-Murican.

I purchased a bunch of them earlier this year...and had to modify all of them to work. I may be quite unlucky when it comes to QC, but the mold halves were not quite aligned right. This lead to ports that were small and pegs that were big. Used a 5mm drill bit to fix all the ports and used a razor to fix all the pegs.

Are we talking about the same thing?

The little black rubbery rings with a small post on it?

Sounds like you just got a bad batch. I've bought a few sets and never had that issue.

Here are some photos to illustrate just how effective and dynamic they work in this case.

Because of the two pivot points, the rocket can always be adjusted to remain pointing forward:

You can raise or lower it as desired:

Not too sure how much more of a solution one can ask for. The rocket gets removed for transformation, and the rings simply remain on the rocket, as if it was always part of it.

Speaking of Mirage, did anyone ever make more streamlined weapons for him? The stock weapons feel a bit chonky. Kind of like Sideswipe’s nonnef weapons. I’ve done a few searches on eBay etc and haven’t seen anything. Might go with another Sideswipe set but figured I’d ask first.

This horse has been beaten to death over and over again.
Nonnef economically is not even remotely viable for anybody outside of US (and maybe Canada) due to shipping costs.
Just by not purchasing two-three of these "obvious solutions" you can save enough cash to buy a 3D-printer yourself.

This is the set I have, from a reliable seller. 3D printed, but they're painted and fit nicely. Looks good on him.

For those who are in the USA, though, those little 90-degree rotating peg-ports are fan-goddamn-tastic. Cheap as hell, a billion-and-one uses. He tells me they sell poorly, which boggles my mind. They're the best things ever!
