I don't think they teased any other figures after Megatron would be neat if they did.

Dang. Every time I take a break from collecting I get sucked back in. Glad UT is back. Both this and Nero (not-Galvatron) look amazing and I\'ll be getting both.  

 

Huh. UT might draw me back into 3P. Haven’t made a purchase since early this year, and I retired their Prime and Megatron after they announced Galvatron would be their last release. Even though they say it’s in production, I don’t think we’ll be seeing it until mid-late 2022, though I will happily be wrong.

 

I wish we could see one more straight on picture of this guy where his head isn't angled downward. It's so hard to actually see how he actually looks in just a natural pose. I'm also curious how this will look in full color.

 

Why are there TWO companies releasing the same toy at the same time? They are just undercutting each other\'s profits...

Oof. It's not the worst thing that I've seen (TW Shatter Car mode tier of being bad) but it's definitely a mess. AA is a clear winner here...
On a side note - the visible screws on the front bumper are also an eye sore...

Good news is that UT’s cab can independently turn. UT confirmed. That is a good point.

 

Honestly, seeing more of this truck mode is making me lean more towards alien attack over this guy. That whole trailer section might as well be a block of kibble.

So I gotta ask, is anyone else slightly annoyed by this? Like I\'m happy y\'all are happy that UT are \"back\", but this new DOTM Megs announcement feels like its just gonna hurt sales and quality for both them and Alien Attack. Think about it, I highly doubt this was coordinated, which likely means that UT panicked when AA announced their Megs, and then UT just dropped Grey models of theirs. Now there\'s a good chance both are gonna be on a race to the finish line, which likely force both of them to make QC sacrifices they wouldn\'t have otherwise made. Additionally, this feels like a strange move from UT. If this \"going under\" thing was a publicity stunt (clever move), why is this their comeback figure? This is a once in a lifetime chance for them to really hype up sales for this specific figure since they\'ll never be able to pull this stunt off again (while actually getting the public to fall for it), yet they\'ve decided to go with Megatron? Why not someone more widely sought after, or just a generally more popular character? 
Anyways, glad they\'re back or whatever, but my vote\'s currently on AA\'s Megs, it just looks much much better in both modes to me. Plus UT just looks a little too stumpy. 

 

i think alot of people have been wanting a good dotm megatron figure for a long time personally i don't think uts will suffer from uc since there figure are usually qc free while i do like the aa one there while known for having issues with there figures

 

AA also has an articulated trailer. And (IMO) a much cleaner and more proportioned trailer.

 

I believe it's because UT assume that a lot of DOTM Megs fans will go strait for the first available product and they could be right about it judging by the comments here. That's one of the reasons why I'm going to wait for the reviews and comparisons with AAT.

 

Saw a post here, I agree with it. I don't think the UT truck mode is so bad. It's actually more accurate than AAT's version to the real vehicle.

Real one, as you can see the tank is not that big compare to the truck.

AAT version, tank is bigger, which might be for normal oil truck but shouldn't be the case for this one.
