Both the decepticon combiners had some level of Combiner Wars influence in their designs, with Menasor being decidedly more CW than Sunbow. But what I was really referring to was these:

A sequel that picked up where Devastations left off would have these guys.

Oh, yep forgot about ultra prime, or optimus maximus, or super duper Mr. Autobot work whatever his name was.

Reminder that the truest example of a sequel is Incredibles 2, witch literally takes place at the same time as the original, or a couple seconds after. No chance that'll happen with "untitled dream project devastation pseudo-sequel".

All I ask for. Custom characters for story mode like the DS games. Seriously how is the DS the ONLY console that had custom characters be integral to the story???

How the hell would combiners work in co-op? I'm interested in an answer.

Not opposed to making OC's or something playable. I have no idea what this mysterious DS game you speak of is.

Transformers: Autobots/Decepticons, the DS games for the 1st movie. Main character was an OC who could turn into basically anything

Id handle it like this: You play as Hot Spot/Silverbolt, and for a Special Attack you can use Defensor/Superion until the meter runs out. This could also work for Optimus if they give him a Super Mode.

A Snake Eyes and Scarlett game loosely based on Pefect Dark would suit me just fine.
But unfortunately Hasbro allowed the character to be tarnished with that abominable movie that allowed to be made.

As for Micronauts (throw the Marvel Comic in the waste basket and set fire to it) - sit down with Takara and mash out a shared concept for Microman and Micronauts that both are happy with (I suggest they look at super Microman from 2000 as the starting point) and then release the toyline - then make the game off that - dont try to go retro for a franchise that the audience for are nearing pension age and try to sell that to Videogame consumers half their age - that is "dumb".

Only do something with Microanuts as a "new" franchise that draws on the old - so kinda like The Netflix Transformers drawns on legacy characters and throws them into a new situation - they can do the same use original tempates in new ways and allow nostalgia farmers to buy them for legacy reason and allow anyone who wants to consume the new media to do that too - but Micronauts (in a western sense) is pretty weak sauce so frankly I think Hasbro is as likely to mess it up as they would Mask or Visionaries - though they have been a bit less bad about rampant revisionism lately - sadly Micronauts may be the one brand that needs a clean slate to shine as the original premis as a comiic especially has just dated to much.

In a way the brand might have been better off with just straight toy reissues (making sure the plastic quality is decent) and sell them are retro lines - but for those of use who are kinda indifferent to the older stuff - well - I just think Microman '99 is a far superior toyline in ever way (aside from playsets) and the slightly later / bigger figures nice as they are are far to fragile for the western market - children would destroy them in 5 minutes. Microman 99 was designed to be played with by little kids and was way more durable and so I think that should be the starting point - the smaller size is cuter too - heck the vehicle in that line could be released now and wouldn't look bad - they are just really good toys.

It's not that hard to make a 3rd person shooter that's online only with tons of skins if you're going to stick to named characters. Alternatively, all they really have to do is get the FoC MP and expand on that to have a decent game.

I'd prefer something more in the vein of RotF though.

Which is part of he reason why Revenge of the Fallen was so interesting gameplay-wise. You could transform from vehicle into a jump so that you don't lose momentum, and into melee. Also from jet into hover mode. People complained that you had to hold down the button to stay transformed, but that added to he fluidity of the mode and really, it's not like people would be transformed to stay still, 9/10 times you'll be holding the a button to move forward.

Meh, an online only game would automatically kill any interest from me

But it's easier to make and is less risk for a new studio. Even Titanfall 2 as popular as it is started off as online-only, but the success allowed for a sequel with a story. Considering how expensive games are these days and that the last AAA Transformers game was nearly 2 years ago on consoles that are now 2 generations old, what if putting in millions of dollars into a AAA Transformers game for the PS5 only to have low sales causes Hasbro to reconsider making high-quality games? All it takes is one financial failure.

Well, like I said, online only would be one guaranteed sales loss from me, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. Sure, there might be less risk in a game like that, but then to me that's not a AAA game. A AAA game is supposed to be the best a company can produce, not something that plays it overly safe.

If a game requires you to be online only then you are not gonna see one cent from me. Also the Xbox one tried to do that and it got ripped apart by gamers. Being online only is not a popular choice.

I assume the number 2 is a typo and you meant the first titanfall.

Actually, I like that. I'll give my take on it. In certain modes, everyone plays as a combiner team. So I could have menasor on the decepticon side, and defensor on the autobots. When everyone has a "super meter" charged, they can all combine. Team leader controls combiner by giving little text commands. People who have the legs are in charge of movement, and the arms take weapons. You try to take down the other combiner. The idea is you have to work as a team, and communication is key. Every single member has unique abilities, but the combiner has more, as each team member has access to two powers. For example, a person playing with motormaster has a lighting blast in combined mode, and can send off blackjack or someone as a drone. And leg part players, who can switch with arm part players like scramble city.

I can't help but think G.I. Joe has insane amounts of potential when it comes to Third or First Person Shooters. Particularly more Role-based games. Say, give us a Joe-based game with a good campaign and missions playing as different characters, and then with multiplayer you could easily do an APEX-styled Battle Royale, on Cobra Island or something like that. And you could also have some pretty wicked Objective gamemodes.

As for transformers... I personally love the idea of a third person shooter mmo. And as the game grows you can add more and more to it, including new cities on cybertron, new planets to explore, figure out how to use Headmasters or titans or combiners, overall it could get insanely badass.

All you need is a dev team who will put in the effort to give us high quality Joe and TF games.

You also need the IP to not be associated with kids toys if you want mainstream appeal.

The movie games sold pretty well because they were cashing in on a mainstream adaption, other attempts didn’t have that luxury.
