Legs are fine being tight but his elbows are definitely too tight considering he doesn’t need to hold up anything.

 

I hope UT's version have trailer articulation, I want the cab to turn independently from the trailer, that's something I like about AAT's Megatron.

I wish AAT and UT could coexist, options are good. I don't want any Bayverse company to go bankrupt...

Good things are expensive... It's what it is, I prefer that to them cutting corners to make it "cheaper"

I almost feel bad for AAT.   This announcement just torpedoed any chance of their own Megs selling well. Very few people will take a chance on that one now that a trusted company like UT is an option.

But I'll happily kick AAT off a cliff if it means UT stays in business. Hope we have amazing new UT figures to look forward to for many years.

Looks good, but the absence of clear shots for the tanker trailer make me wonder what that cloak is hiding. There's a distinct dip in the middle which doesn't seem to correspond to anything on the AAT version, which I can only assume is reasonably accurate given how clearly they've shown it off.

Might be just a very early prototype, so let's just wait for the final prototype.
But even if it's a final design, I'm still okay with the sacrifice in truck mode because the bot mode are a black magic incarnate

 

Welcome back UT! Now we have DOTM Megatron Wars. UT Megs looks good, i think it will be great once we see colored protos but AAT Mackron looks much better imo. AAT will have to match or surpass UT in terms of quality with this one.

 

Yeah I’m not sure on this. The torso is easily far superior to the chunky AAT design…. But AAT’s legs, arms and head sculpt all look far better to me; AAT truck mode is also the clear winner as this one doesn’t even have a complete tanker, just the front and back with the middle being full of greeble intended to be hidden by the cloak.

That said I’m relieved to have a backup option should AAT produce another bomb.

After all these years of promises, it LOOKS like we are finally on the verge of DOTM Megs wars. I'll get one or the other probably this one, but who knows?

 

I’m stoked that UT is still going! This looks great! But I do like the AA one more based on each first impression. Though I love the hands on this one. But the truck mode on the other… oh shit  

Off topic: since UT are pushing forward, I wonder if this means they plan on completing a head for Driller at some point

Yeah, a shot - but not exactly a clear one. From that angle, with all the greebling and faux parts on the side, you can't even tell if there's actually a tanker there or not. May as well be a flat-bed with trash piled up on it.

Not that I'm necessarily opposed to a flat-bed-with-trash-piled-up-on-it look (even if inaccurate to source). But come out and say it, rather than hiding it with camera angles and lighting.

 

AAT: *Tried to make a comeback with images of a fairly decent looking DOTM Megs.
UT: I'm going to end this mans whole career

Now we just wait for Toyworld's tease with the best looking paintjob, 2 versions with different accessories, and a generally being a total hell to tranform
