1. Fort Max is the original "biggest TF toy ever". FT no doubt wants to recreate that same feeling of awe using the character who's known for it, and whose character design was specifically intended for a giant scale.

2. The headmaster gimmick allows them to get people invested with a smaller purchase beforehand.

3. They probably disagree with your opinion that he's boring (as do I).

Not running or jumping yet but if they can do this, they can do other things eventually. Our damn luck with AI they will create Megatron as the future peacekeeper and then this goes down for real.

 

It's not that. It's the fact that everything about this sounds like a bad idea. It's ambitious, but I also think they've bitten off more than they can chew. I made a thread several days ago asking about fun MP scale combiners because I saw what a pain they were to manipulate and handle based on some reviews. Right now, I'm posting this just as I finished watching a couple of different Omega Supreme reviews and watching the reviewers move the joints just looks like such a chore.

Who knows, maybe they can surprise us by knocking this out of the park.

 

I guess I'd just rather be excited about the possibility of thr product rather than worry about the ways it may not work.

Let FT and the factory work it out. It's not like they're here looking for engineering advice.

Guys are talking about calculating mass, center of gravity and giving examples how things work. They are on topic and speculating about the bot. Now you want to regulate what aspects of a figure people can talk about also?

Hey, I got an idea. Why not upscale a G1 Fortress Maximus, and then add some intricate unfoling hatches, and other gimmicy stuff...like, oh I don't know, just the sky would be the limit for imagination?  

 

FT should offer 2 versions of this bad boy:
1. Premium Edition. Lots of diecast.
2. Regular Edition. Mostly plastic.

I'd honestly will go the second route.

Same here. I'm excited about the prospect.

This will be a very limited item and I'm really eager to have it. Sure it can fail (like anything else) but to simply play armchair toy designer is not my thing either.

You should demand an iPhone app to control Fort max and order him to bake your cake.

 

That's why I'm following this project. I'm following it out of morbid curiosity. I'm more than happy to see this succeed. It would certainly be a nice feast of engineering, I can appreciate that.

 

I don’t think anyone wants this not to work. This is the coolest thing happening in Transformers and everyone wants to know anything they can about it.

With no news coming, all we can do is speculate on price, weight, distribution and imagine ways it might fall on DPuff until we get some real information.
