It opens up a can of worms and substantially adds to the shipping cost. I might consider shipping internationally if they struggle to sell.
Hey John. Good luck with your sales thread. To give you an idea on shipping to the US from the UK. I’m in the UK. I sent Jujiang Superion to a member based in the states. The weight of the product and box came in at 2.6kg. It cost £65 recorded delivery via Parcelforce about 6-8 weeks ago. I have Jinbao OS Grav builder and the weight of all that plus the upgrade kit with all original boxes will be more than that Jujiang figure I sent. I reckon shipping that to the states will be around £80. You are selling the Jinbao devy for a great price. Try posting in this thread on the site. Lots of UK people post or look in there. I can back you up and say you have it for sale for a great price: The UK Toy Discussion Nb: factor in currency exchange rate and also if going with paypal if you go F&F or G&S
Thanks for all that; very helpful. I did imagine that the costs would be around those levels. It puts the overall price up quite a bit. I will take your advice and post in the UK thread. Also, what is "F&F or G&S"?
If you are going to be paid by a buyer via PayPal they have both of those options available. The payment can be done either as F&F (for family and friends) or G&S (goods and services). The latter provides protection for the buyer and represents circa 3-4% of the purchase cost. They will need to add that on top of the total price to ensure you receive what you have agreed. If they don’t it will reduce what you receive as that is taken by Paypal. Whilst selling to overseas buyers can be more of a pain I wouldn’t automatically decide against this. You will need to fill in an export declaration (postal service provides this) which is very easy (basically an A3 label that has minimal info put on it) if selling to a member in the US. You will need to get their telephone number otherwise you won’t be able to send the package. Make sure you are clear on the cost in pounds sterling to avoid currency exchange fluctuations. If you look under my signature and go to my sales page you will see a link to a paypal calculator. Copy and paste that into your sales post as it will be useful for buyers if using paypal and want to use the G&S option.
