I wonder if this is legal to purchase in the Eiropean Country of the base materials legend? I know there is a movement to exsponge it from their history due to tourist issues.
Looks pretty good, but just saw a review video and it both enticed me and put me off. Both modes look great from the front, but the amount hanging off the back looks bad. To be fair, it’s a deluxe figure, but coupled with the voyager level price, I’d have preferred more. I accept a chunk of the price is for the licence, but even so. You can cover that stuff with the cape of course, which looks great in robot mode, but not so good on the bat. Another thing that bugged me: the small wings on Draculus’s back form no part of the actual bat wings. They just stick off the back in both modes. I’d rather they just did without them and use another way to peg the cloak on, as Dracula’s humanoid form doesn’t need wings anyway, although they look quite good in that form. I guess part of the restriction there would be the original sculpt it is based on. I think if it had cost just a little more than a standard deluxe, I’d snap him up. For around £35, though, no thanks. Does look pretty good though. Nice box. PvP made me feel a bit old with his VHS cassette comment.
Since preorders for Draculus have sold out so fast on Target.com and Hasbro Pulse, I wonder if he is considered financially successful?
I ought to re-watch Dracula: dead and Loving It. I did get back today from seeing the original Universal Dracula (along with Frankenstein... and Venom 2 and The Many Saints of Newark... I spent all day at the theater).
My issue is that I’d 100% get this, I love the design, but I saw him at EB Games (or I guess GameStop now for whatever reason) and he’s going for leaderclass price! Like I’d be okay with a slight price hike because he’s an partnered figure but for leader class price? No way. Maybe if I ever see him at a discount somewhere or something like that, but I’m not paying that much.
Personally I wish they would have waited for a Terrorsaur Convo Bat remold and then made Draculus, because what's the rush here? It's not coinciding with anything. Love the paint, but the head ending up where does, and the lack of a flight mode for a bat bugs me.
