I got mine when he was $180 or so and it was the best value for money I ever got from a TF purchase. Even at $270 or so he's worth it, especially compared to the price for the other, much worse option.

Dunno what's up with that $222 shipping though. Are they delivering it by unicorn?

Shipping is one of the fatal flaws of Robotoybase. They're good to use if you're looking for hard to find items but the shipping for anything above the size of a regular Masterpiece car bot ($15-$20 shipping usually) get exponentially more expensive the bigger the box gets. For example, I was looking to replace ToyWorld Burden and the shipping was ~$45 which is half the cost of the figure. IIRC DX9 Capone was ~$120 to ship, if not more. So given how big and heavy the Gabriel box is it's no real surprise to me that it's that much.

BTW, I also got my Gabriel at $180 but i'm still debating whether I want a 2nd (I do). Thinking of painting it in Guardian colors since I don't believe they'll ever make the Gabriel-X Guardian version they teased a long time ago.

I preordered on BBTS and then again when it came up on Showz. Either whichever comes in first or which ever seems like the better deal is the one that will get my money

Which will likely be the cheapest option even after tax. ShowZ and TF-Direct will probably be in the $250-$275 range based on how much he was there the last time they got him in.

I tend to find Showzstore to be a bit cheaper then BBTS while TFDirect and TFSource to be the most expensive retailers

for example I have robot Hero Airwolf on Preorder from Showz for 71usd while BBTS it would be 90 usd and I am not in the US so i would never qualify for free shipping from BBTS. The negative about Showz is the shipping time as they are in China While BBTS is in the US. I am in Canada so shipping from BBTS is a lot faster but also costs a lot more.

In general ShowZ has lower prices for a lot of things but the last time ShowZ had Gabriel it was about $30-40 higher than BBTS. We'll see if BBTS has the same price hookup with DX9 that they had like last time.

Does anyone here knows where the battery compartment is on DX9 Gabriel's cannon?

You have to yank out the tip of the cannon. Take it slow or you might accidentally rip out the wires.

    You will not be disappointed.

When I got the figure I was blown away how good it is. The detail. The finish. I lubricated the leg and arm joints as they were pretty tight. So far no issues posing the figure. I will say it does weigh a lot so if you are going to keep in bot mode for display, make sure he’s stable. I’ve not had any problems with him on shelving.

I took these photos a while back against Siege Omega and also with Cliffjumper to emphasise the size difference.

Check the feet for any marks. Apparently the way the figure is packed in the polystyrene they can get marked up (light scuffs) which you wouldn’t think would be possible

Such nice pictures. Thanks for sharing. It does look quite striking even standing straight. I also like the size of the head. The whole figure is a nice balance of looking clean and detailed at the same time. Especially if you make an outline of it. Thanks again.

    Nice.

I was gonna ask, is there anything I have to do for the joints cause I've heard they can have some issues?

    Many thanks Enfin.

Yep a great combination of symmetry, clean lines and detail. Given the price that many have managed to get this figure for, an absolute steal.

Nice touches for this figure in bot mode when you bend the legs and elbows you get to see the pistons making up the joint.

I think the figure can work with both chug and MP lines.

It is massive and extremely heavy. If you don’t own it yet, I cannot stress enough how weighty this figure is. One would need to take care and ensure all secure if putting at the top of an open display. Don’t need that taking a header off and somebody going past if that were to happen.

@Maximus Danz - usual pre-flight check requirements for the leg and arm joints as well as the claw. Be careful if they are not going to budge don’t force them. Do a search of this thread and you should be able to see what people have done as maintenance to their Gabriel in terms of grease/lubricants. Definitely check joints and any place where screws have been put in to make sure they have not been put in unevenly. Make sure all aligns. I had to rescrew the upper arm to chest section on the right side as it hadn’t been screwed together correctly. Connecting the arms straight out of the box to the figure can be awkward as well. You should look at the vid reviews online to familiarise yourself with those that have taken receipt and what they do straight out of the box.

The batteries (CR1220 x1 per arm) on my figure were all dead. Be careful if you want to install batteries that when removing the ends you do not pull too hard as the wire connections do not have much slack. Otherwise you will be doing a soldering job on the connections:

    This link was useful:

Transformers DX9 Gabriel (MP Omega Supreme)

Have a look at the usual suspects for TF reviews online and gleam what info you can from there. Just don’t rush in and start posing the figure given the internal mechanics are more mechanical than the WFC mainline we have had.

Bombusbee has said through their whatsapp group, May 22 is the estime reissue release. They've quoted $139.99 but shipping is unknown

If you use that link in my last post it confirms box dimensions and actual weight. Might come in handy for potential shipping cost calcs.

I received RH Airwolf from Bombusbee today and the shipping cost was $17.50. Gabriel weighs a whopping 5.7 kgs. That’s the equivalent of x5 Jujiang Jet Commanders (OSKO CW Superion). I’d expect shipping on this to be at least $100. More likely closer to $150.
