League isn't a game with vast in-game lore anyways. All of whatever story it has is peripheral. Same deal with the DotA series that's already on Netflix.
Ah, good to know. If it's anything like the DotA series then it'll be easy enough to get into never having played either game.
League of Legends: Stunning Character Posters Reveal Arcane Series' Cast The series is set before the events of the game and will focus on the city of Piltover and the characters who reside within it: - Vi, the hot-headed pugilist (Bumblebee and Hawkeye star Hailee Steinfeld) - Jayce (Arrow's Kevin Alejandro) - Jinx (Sweetbitter's Ella Purnell) - the city's sharpshooting sheriff Caitlyn (Harry Potter's Katie Leung). The series will also star Jason Spisak as Silco, Toks Olagundoye as Mel, JB Blanc in the role of Vander, and Harry Lloyd as Viktor. Arcane was originally scheduled to premiere in 2020, but was delayed due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic. The series will now make its premiere on Netflix this fall.
Watched the first three episides. Like it a lot si far. Though, granted, I know zero about the League of Legends so my perspective is based on the show itself and not how well it ties or doesn't tie to the game itself.
Used to be a big LoL player (Mid-range Kayle); so I'm definitely interested to check this out for either nostalgia sakes or just to see a new animated series.
Not that knowledgable on League of Legends, the main character I recognize from this trailer. But now that I’ve finished these first three episodes, I want to know more. It‘s honestly ridiculous how gorgeous this show is. Like seriously. And that last episode was just an unrelenting barrage of emotional punches! It just never let up!
Only experience I have with LoL is the music videos they do, but I heard so much stuff about this show that I gave it a shot. Holy crap, this show is amazing. Utterly breathtaking animation, really interesting characters and in depth world building. Can’t wait to see arc 3.
They did a good job making Jinx more than a crazy Harley Quinn-esqe character for the series here. Viktor is probably the character I'm most looking forward to seeing evolve also. Welcome to the LoL fandom. Shipping between characters is a tradition here.
As it is in any fandom really, but this gives me Overwatch vibes with its style(though it’s probably the other way around and Overwatch was inspired by this). Hell, for awhile I rather stupidly thought that LoL was a Blizzard property. I want to know more, since this world seems as vast and complex as Warcraft.
I just learned about this, and I have to say….. This takes me back to a decade ago. I was never to big into the game, but I was obsessed with Ahri.. Before she was popular, before all the fancy videos and music. Those were some good days.
Supposedly Riot has more seasons planned out. So hopefully. Though Spoiler I doubt everyone in the council chamber dies (if any of them die) given at least two of them are PV's from the game.
Talk about leaving the audience craving more, man. I can confidently say this is one of my favorite shows and might be the best animated piece of media I’ve ever seen. Such a good and emotionally charged finale.
