C'mon, five factions and two heroes named Optimus in a two-hour movie. I smell blockbuster.

As they say in the movie industry, if you don't like your boss, feel free to tell them to f-off and quit. Chances are they won't be there in 6 months anyway.

I have no real dog in this fight, other than the small pleasure I get from mocking Paramount/Viacom/CBS for things like Star Trek Picard or Snake Eyes.

I doubt I will watch Rise of the Beasts as Transformers Movies and me don't really get along (I have not objection to the designs or anything like that) I just find the humans they cast allmost universally insufferable. I just look at them and like 'James Blonde' Movies these days - I take note of their existance and politely say "No thank you".

But I guess I can say well done to the lass for lighting a fire under Paramount and getting them to make another movie after Michael Bay excreted out Transformers : The Last Knight. - I guess "some people" think Bumblebee is "cute" not that I'd know as soon as the Human Teenagers show up I nope right out of that particular feature so I've never seem more than 25 minutes of it but when my spine tries to cringe its way out of my back - I think it's best I stop. I might be able to suffer through it eventually cringe does wear off eventually. so maybe I might be able to see bumblebee in 2030 or some such. Can't see me doing anything other than what I usually do though - which is watch clips on youtube - face palm a bit - and try to not let it effect my thoughts towards the franchise to much ... but then that isn't any different from any other Transformers Media made in quite some time. I've pretty much given up on it these days.. sort of like DC Comic Book movies the default presumtion is that it's going to be terrible until proven otherwise with Transformers media and my own tastes towards it.

I suppose they will do some degree of harm to Botbots too with it's cartoon - the premise seems to allow for a degree of miss-steps.
I am at best mildly curious what the beasts look like - and what Humans they impose on us this time. I hear Shockwave is in it too - so that is cool I guess.

I'm kinda shocked anyone was able to raise the money to make another Star Trek Movie at all really.

Why do people hate Picard. I liked it. Not sure about how Season 2 will be.

Also Emma Watt's sound like the set up to a Marx brothers joke about Who, What, where... etc.

I place my reply to that question in a more proper place : #1544

well I've got nothing to say about the staff other then revolving door management is never a good sign. I've seen it first hand I worked on a kids show that aired on Universal Kids and early in production the exec in the US who was basically the final say in everything got yank'd. New guy comes in and just nuked pre-production. Stories were already written and the boards were being made so it was too late for major changes but these CEO's like to purge the influance of their predecessors and put their own stamp on things so a lot of the later stories were tweaked and all the designs were changed. Freakin' destroyed moral in the studio and it never recovered.

In the case of transformers the movie is well into production so I can't see anything being changed maybe it'll be edited differently and reshoots will be done depending on some one elses taste but the big strokes are already long done.

My concern is that without a single person reigning in things we'll see maybe poor choices slip through the cracks but who knows.

So, just when we thought that we arrived at the final Boss, with Lorenzo, the Hasbro Boss reveals himself to be the big mastermind puppet master bad guy at the end of the castle. What a twist! :p

Yeah, I know, but we thought that, you know, Paramount is the film studio, therefore the weight of responsibility for how the movies turn out, is on them. Hasbro just licenses their IP to them, with "friendly advice" on how to make the movies. We assumed, that the G1 parts of Bumblebee were, in part at least, due to Hasbro assuming more creative control. It seems we thought wrong, or so I understand now.
