I still have Haslab Unicron, unopened, in his box in the corner of the living room. No idea where I will display him.
So, combined with a complete lack of any attachment to this character, this is an easy pass for me.
Metroplex? That might be a bit more tempting though.
Fascinating to watch this unfold though

There’s plenty of reasons to buy a character that’s just a head - Cerebros was one of the main headmasters. In that group with Hardhead, Chromedome, Highbrow, and Brainstorm. To not have some version of the character feels like something is missing. With my MPs of Chromedome and Hardhead, I have the Perfext Effect tank version of Fort Max posed as the fill-in for an actual Cerebros.

He costs 200 bucks because other 3P MP headmasters, like Chomp, cost that much. Not one penny of that is offsetting the cost of the overall base bot

I’m down for Cerebros. I have all of the available 3P headmasters, so far. But I’m still very skeptical about that 4ft base bot. FT needs to provide some assurances about the engineering and quality. Someone noted that their Omega was 4 yrs ago, but they haven’t made another big bit since. They haven’t given us a reason to trust that they’ve improved in that area.

    Thankyou, and Good job!

I have so many questions only ft can answer. For instance, do you think the robot is painted? I think it's almost all just a finish on plastic to match the body, not paint, since the body is too big to have fully painted.
Will the sword really plug into the neck, or not? Why is the blue such a light and bright colour instead of the darker cartoon blue? What happened to the minor skulpted detail accents from the render in robot mode? How many seperate purchases will I buy to make up the body, and how long will it take to release the whole thing? Does the open mouth look work, or are we going to the dentist to get some teeth installed?
And what do you guys think?

Hannibal is 9.4" tall, same as the other FT headmasters and i think taller than Soundwave.

Carbots typicall 6 to 7.5 tall (FT Hot Rod).

Remember, like it or not, you're wrong.

This is the issue. A near 4ft tall figure is basically a person sized thing you have to find a home for somewhere in your house. I was thinking i'd build a display around it, if i get it. Have some small floating shelves on the wall around it. But that means clearing a 4ft tall by maybe 2 ft wide space!

This guy isn't going to be the head though surely it would be too small for the 4FT main body?

Sorry if this has already been covered.

I'd rather have the character scale with this head, maybe about 30% smaller.

I guess I'll just have mine sitting in my office chair at my keyboard when I'm not using it.

Guessing it'll be around 25-30 lbs when all is said and done. Transforming will def be a nightmare. the real headache will be when they recolor 2 more into Brave Maximus and Grand Maximus.

If Cerebros bot mode is almost 10 inches tall, Logic dictates the head will be around 4 1/2 to almost 5 inches tall. does that seem like a small head to you?

It's probably ok. I just took FT's other headmasters, imagined the legs folded up to the side like a cube, then held that at 4FT and yes it seemed a bit small for such a large body. But I'm sure it's ok.

Still got my OG Fort Max from back in the day… still one of the greatest happiest Christmases of my life. :D

I’m a sucker for this character, My favorite Marvel comics were the ones with him, probably because he never made it to the cartoon (Didn’t see Rebirth til I was a teenager).
Even the IDW incarnation was cool!

I do totally hope FT gives us a U.S. style head or face.

I was lucky enough to get in a pre-order, but I’m still kind of intimidated by the projected scale of this guy as a whole!!!!
This’ll be a wild ride…. Hope it doesn’t take too many years to complete!

I think the upside is that FansToys knows not everyone will get FM after Cerebros. Since they probably have to sell the body in parts, the parts themselves will likely be reasonably priced, even with a small run to consider retailer space.

That may also mean that there's gonna be a sliding scale for price, with the earlier body pieces cheaper to encourage preorders and the latter pieces more expensive when they know people are invested.

    I see $230 for the head then "leg-arm-leg-arm-hips-chest" at $180 + shipping.

After watching rebirth on hasbro pulse, I’d be up for a full Cerebros repaint/remold.

Also, too bad that even giving the size of the head there still doesn’t exist the technology or give the face a convincing, movable mouth vs just different faces to exchange.

The separate head I get, since it's a headmaster and it's a good way of satisfying those collectors who only want Cerebros, but how could they sell the rest of the body in pieces?

Fort Max is not like Omega Supreme, a character that breaks apart for the sake of the transformation. Fort Max needs to be a solid, heavy ratcheted figure in order to support its own weight and transformation. Turning him into a build your own figure kit can't be good for the final product.

my main concern now is that we all should know by now they'll end up making a far more closer to the animation color scheme. So why should anyone buy this right now?

To be fair, I was pretty generous with the suppositions to not expect that to be the case
