There's so many replies from just one day to go through so it may have been touched on already, but is it almost-maybe-kinda-slightly possible there's a chance the head is priced so high to partially offset the (still likely outrageous) cost of the body?

Yeah, and if it was only single person stores with this policy your argument would have had some merit, but there are big stores with a no refund policy, and big stores that do give refunds. Same as there are smaller scale operations that fall on both sides as well.

I am sticking to stores that allow refunds (big purchases like Haslab Unicron, that self transforming Optimus Prime and this Fort Max are exceptions I understand) because that's what I want for service. If you don't mind shopping where your deposit is gone if circumstances change, that's your choice.
