Somebody said you have to put the tail fins and stuff in the "right" position but he never elaborated.  

 

Will the flight stand for MP11 work for Crimson Wing? Anyone tried that yet?

A fair video. I've said it before, I think MP-52 is the better figure but ONLY JUST.

If the size or the price are a huge factor in how you make your purchasing decisions then either is enough to put DS in front.

 

Now that you've mentioned it, maybe they did it on purpose. Basically a similar tactic as Cell's box and the wacky art/"not for sale" wording.

Maybe it wasn't bad QC after all. Let's see if anyone else joins in on the trend.

 

It is physically impossible to get the blue tail fins to look like what's on the box, and they made the entire rear cockpit section clear to show head. Pretty sure it was a deliberate photoshop and not a mistransformation.

 

If you make sure all the tail wings are folded precisely (you'll have to experiment to find what works), the panel will sit flush. But any sort of slight push on the opposing side of the leg will push it sort of out of place.

The real answer for how to get them flush is hope it's addressed in Version 2.0.

I only tried in robot mode, I made a “seat” for him and an adapter to plug onto the MP-11 stand. It works….
I haven’t transformed mind yet to jet.

 

Just bought this guy, as getting the 1st batch of TE's Mirage helped me avoid everything but the mis-assembled waist.

Hopefully no QC issues. I really debated doubling up to have a clean copy, if there isn't much I want already released closer to December I may think about getting another one.

 

I hope it shows up on eBay.

Yea I think I’m going to let mine sit on the shelf for about 2 weeks before messing with it. To let the paint cure.

 

I forgot to mention. The quality of the box is insane... until you open it and find a clamshell. Womp womp. That box is money though.

 

I don't think that's actually a render, if you take a look at the original box art (from page 1 of this thread) it's different than what ended up on the box.

 

yah just gotta fiddle w it is my best recommendation. how flush is flush tho? on one side i can get it pretty good but my other side undoes itself every bow and then and cant get it super flush

 

I never really looked at it closely before because I just didn’t care, but looking at the image now I see you’re right, it is so obviously a photoshop. I love it.  

 

I can't think of why they would do this on purpose. What are the licensing rules on military aircraft? It's not like MP-52 had a big Boeing or USAF logo on it's box, so why DS did this is perplexing.

 

sounds like a rush job and they slapped it togehter pretty quick. perhaps the artist at the time was crunching on something else and the marketing fella was "give me something!" and nabbed the wrong thing.

Been there, done that! fun times. then you the artist realize he grabbed the wrong one, get pisssed, but a crapton are already printed and just lift your hands in the air and go "ah well... maybe next time..." and go back to crunching on other tasks.
