joined for one and only reason to correct the both of you: what was actually said was that he saw victory saber at a con, went "woah ive never heard of transformers anime", and hit hasbro up and went "hey can i promote this for a wider anime audience who might be interested". it was his idea and his way of reaching out to a non-transformers market that might still be into something like this. hes literally free good press which is always a perfect choice

I can't abide their odd socio-political slants at times, but the dubs for Stein's; Gate and Space Dandy are some of the greatest things ever and I will fight you over that.

I'm glad Sabat promoted this. Hate to break it you guys but I'm pretty sure more people in the west know who he is than know who Star Saber is. Maybe it doesn't matter cause they are too different of audiences but still it was a cool move. Definitely was hoping it was gonna end up being a new dub of victory just as a completely separate thing but still happy about the whole thing.

My God, I love the color images. Makes me so pumped to add this guy to my Star Saber collection. Good time to be fans .

thanks. You’d think a main Japanese exclusive G1 toy that’s a huge fan favorite in Japan would be…well, open to their actual main fan base audience right off the bat.
I see all these other HasLab crowdfunders get backed almost right away, it’s nerve wracking to see it slowly tick up the counter….

Though to be fair, I did like a few voices of Cyberverse. Gotta hand it to Marc Thompson, considering (I think) he's probably the first to portray both Cobra Commander (G.I. Joe: Sigma Six) and Megatron at two different points in his career.

 

And not like WFC has completely lacked in talent either, with professionals like Keith Silverstein and Mark Wittenberg in the mix. It's just a combination of bad pacing, bad scripts, and lackluster direction that brings them all down.
