So it seems like there aren’t a ton of upgrade kit options for Studio Series Slug yet, right? I have seen one weapon kit from MW and one gap filler kit (not sure which company that’s from). What are folks’ preferred kits for this guy? Mostly interested in filling in his feet and getting him a sword…

JRC Design is actually one of the earliest to put stuff out for Slug/Slag AFAIK.

Chinese groups on eBay have replacement gold/silver horns, and there's various other sword designs out there too. Most fillers are about the same though, minus some kits offering a long, thin piece for the Triceratops mode limbs that JRC does not.

Awesome, thanks! Haha, I actually just received some other JRC stuff today, it’s nice! Lambo spoilers, Cyclonus sword, some peg adaptors, etc. Didn’t realize he did a Slug kit, might be picking that one up too. Much appreciated!

I got the Matrix Workshop weapon sets for him and Grimlock and they look great and use JRC for the feet filler which also works perfectly minus not having fillers for the dino mode feet. I have the silver horns on order because the waffle horns are just inexcusable

    Ebay:
In urgent need of some advice here. Has anyone tried buying upgrade kits from Taobao through shipping agents? I ordered the ZX Datsun kits and they're saying they're restricted for shipping and won't let me use any of the available options because they're 'weapons replicas'. I only have 20 hours left to try to return them, or else I'm stuck with $40 worth of items I might not be able to ship. Is there any way around this? It's the only way I can even justify getting the sets, because the prices on eBay are ridiculous.

Did I miss something on those wheels? Honestly, they're not great looking, but I think I prefer them over the stock...

Not sure if it's just the resolution of the pics, but the wheels in those pics look pretty rough and all over the place texture-wise, even for 3D-printed items.

They look like they're from Shapeways, meaning textured and bad.

It's the newest fad for 3d upgrades: nylon parts.

With a few exceptions, the surface finish is terrible. However, the 2 main benefits: much stronger than normal 3d prints and not white.

I've been using the Nonnef ones that he made for the Siege mold. They require a slight modification (there's a bulb on the 5mm post that needs to be sliced off to work with the ER mold), but they work pretty well

The ones I got were colored. Also, here's Screenshot_20210923-083451_eBay.jpg a pic of the Conehead ones:

Hmm. Not feeling those Mirage wheels, but I'd tentatively be interested in seeing what one of my "preferred partners" has in store for him.

(that'd be Nonnef and Go Better, although I just put my first order in from JRC and am pretty hyped for it!)
