As per CBR and Instagram theres been a combined Autobot and Maximal logo shared by the upcoming films director with the caption "We're coming."It’s on his IG story and I did a quick screen grab which I attached here incase it goes soon! Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Unveils a Merged Autobot and Maximal Symbol
So as a brand new member it’s just said I can’t post links, but as it’s news and needs a source I hope this is still ok? As couldn’t find anywhere else to send it to so just made an account to post it as not seen it on here anywhere else
I doubt that symbol is going to be used in any official capacity. It's just a fun bit of fanart/talking point. It's too messy and unreadable otherwise.
I did wonder if it’s something being used on crew hats etc, as it’s certainly a little busy and it’s come straight from the director
I already posted Steven Caple Jr.'s Instagram story in this thread: Transformers: Rise Of The Beasts Officially Announced
Yeah, it’s probably just there to be symbolic. The Devil’s Due G.I. Joe vs Transformers comics had a combined Decepticon/Cobra symbol that appeared on some of the covers and ads for the series but was never used in the story itself at any point. I’m guessing that this is a similar scenario.
That's what I'm thinking it's gonna be used for promotional material - toy boxes, posters, calendars, etc.
No, we've been saying that it's not likely to be used in that form. It really doesn't look professional enough to grace official merchandise, and I don't think the Maximal logo itself has enough meaning to the general audience to make for an effective statement. Heck, the Maximal and Predacon logos barely appeared in the cartoon, unless you were actively looking for them. It's hit or miss whether the characters even bear them. And for those that do, they often blend into their other texturing, rather than being especially prominent.
