Also, I doubt the Predacons are important enough in the film to have their own quest to find an artifact or whatever. I'm fairly sure they'll just show up to the final battle to help defeat the Terrorcons.

If they're smart and a teaser trailer comes out in Dec. like TLK they'll put it around/in front of NWH cause everyone's gonna go seeing that film (I know I 100% will)

Depends on whether or not it actually releases in June. If it does, I could def see them doing that. If not then probably a spot at the Super Bowl with a full trailer drop online

Yeah it all depends on release date if it releases in June then I expect them to do what they did with TLK, teaser in December (with NWH) and a tv spot for the SB. If not and the movie gets delayed then probably something different maybe follow BB's movie with a trailer in June but with more marketing than Bumblebee.

Is that how it works in US, studios get to chose what films their trailers show with? Here in the UK, my cinema makes a point of saying that they've specially chosen the trailers so they're age appropriate.

In America, the MPAA chooses what trailers go in front of movies to make sure the content and ratinf matches (i believe i coupd be wrong)

Putting the trailer in front of no way home is a fucking genius idea

Bumblbee didnt have an artifact to chase, so maybe they're just bringing it back to be unique to this movie. hopefully this one does it well,

I they also put the newest/most recent trailers in front of movie coming out that week.
Like I said if they’re smart they’ll do it and reep the benefits like everyone’s gonna go see that movie whether your a MCU, Spider-Man or comics fan or even a casual movie goer also it’s has the highest watched trailer of all time so why not have your movie coming out next year play in front of it you’ll have a huge audience to see the trailer and find out about the movie and hopefully gets interested in the movie by the trailer.

I forgot to address it the other day, but that laser gauntlet thing looks cool. I can't wait to see that in action.

I don't know if the magic stone MacGuffin thing is true, but if it is I don't really find that to be a concern. MacGuffins can be done well or done poorly...some of the greatest movies of all time have MacGuffins. To me a bad use of a MacGuffin is something like Rise of Skywalker, where the relic hunts take up time that could be used for more important stuff. But a good movie can use a MacGuffin as a backdrop for character and thematic stuff, like A New Hope. It's mostly a matter of how it's done.

I don't mind people voicing their concerns, but I do get tired of the constant doom and gloom that seems to pop up in every movie-related discussion surrounding every new reveal or piece of news.

It will definitely be interesting to see wha Noah's robot glove is. It could be a cool concept and might add something unique to a human character which we haven't seen before.

100% agree with this. I've got no problem with people expressing their reservations about the movie, but when it comes across as though they're certain that they won't enjoy this movie, I question why they're bothering wasting their time with it :p  like... go invest in a movie that you actually think you might enjoy! What fun is there to be had constantly thinking how bad it might be? What's the point?

I've always thought it would be cool to see more stuff like this in Transformers movies. It could be cool to see a human with a shield made out of Transformium, or Iron Man style battle armor. They wouldn't have to go full superhero, but I like seeing humans use Transformer tech.

Yeah, it's kind of confusing and hard to wrap my head around. I think it might be a combination of several things...inflated or overly specific expectations, taking things as a personal insult instead of simply a differing vision (I get this vibe a lot if you read between the lines), and maybe simply enjoying criticism more than the idea of a good movie. As the critic in Ratatouille said, criticism is fun to read and write.

I actually used to participate in this same type of outrage/ranting leading up to AOE. I definitely think part of the reason was because I felt personally attacked. I grew up pretty sheltered and had a limited set of interests, so decisions I didn't agree with felt like Michael Bay insulting part of my identity. Becoming a fine arts major, learning more about how filmmaking works, and expanding my set of interests helped show me that Michael Bay wasn't trying to spite fans, he was just creating his vision for the brand. Even if I don't agree with everything he did, I can now respect those movies for being his take on something I like.

I'm super excited too. A lot of my initial worries have died down, and I'm cautiously optimistic about what Caple and co will bring to the table. This seems like a cross between a heist film and a jungle adventure movie, and I love that. And while it seems to be an unpopular opinion, I actually like the idea of incorporating Beast Transformers into a story about the automobile Transformers. I think that's a good way to ease general audiences (and fans who aren't overly familiar with Beast Wars, like myself) into the concept and test the waters for a Beast Wars standalone film. I do have some concerns about the execution, but I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic. I've heard more good than bad so far.

I'm also excited about the movie. But let's be real, almost everything revealed about it so far chips away at that. It's hard to be unreservedly enthusiastic given what we know so far.

But I'm curious to see how it turns out and will go in with an open mind.

I was also excited about the Bumblebee movie, I knew that was our best chance at a decent Transformers movie, and never lost faith all through production. I'm not just skeptical by default.
