Got back from Target and saw they had at least 5 of each Muckman and Mondo. Never seen so many neca figures at once before. Sadly I have no interest in them, and it seems like no one else does either.
Yeah, I think a lot of people don't really care about the not "main characters" of the NECA cartoon TMNT line. Muck Man and Mondo I think were both only in like one episode of the cartoon, weren't they? The main characters I speak of, of course are: Leonardo Donatello Michelangelo Raphael Splinter April O' Neil Shredder Krang Rocksteady Bebop Foot Soldiers with Baxter Stockman and Casey Jones also for the most part.
Not sure I agree entirely. I've never seen one Metalhead in stores. There was also some of the 2-packs that were really hard to find; Vern and RatKing, Slash and Leatherhead. Not sure why these 2 figures are, dare I say, shelf warmers.
Maybe it was early reaction? Like people were excited to get cartoon accurate figures from the TMNT cartoon, but it's kind of lost it's luster a bit now with all the main characters out? Just speculation. I never saw Metalhead around my area of the U.S. and the Vernon / Rat King and Leatherhead / Slash sets seemed a lot less produced as far as I could tell than the Triceraton sets or the Rock Soldiers.
Price may have something to do with it in addition; they're both $40 right? If you picked up a bunch of 2 packs for $50, some people might balk at that.
Definitely a factor. I think $40 is kind of a big ask for Mondo…especially as an impulse buy for an obscure character.
Muckman is cheaper than Mondo. I remember checking the prices and thinking that was odd. Those 2 and the triceraton 2 packs are sitting.
Agreed, tbh I don’t dare touch my Neca TMNT - especially Rocksteady and Bebop…there were reports of their joints breaking….similar to other Neca figures. If Super7 had released their line earlier, I wouldn’t have gotten deep into the Neca line.
My target has a bunch of Mondo, Muckman, & Chromedome (or whomever the robot guy is). Like it seems with many others, I just don't give a crap about these characters enough to buy them. I just want the major characters from the cartoon. I don't even remember them in the show. I did get Triceratons (which I also don't remember) but I liked their design & know them from later shows. Once I get the Channel 6 newsroom set, I'm out.
Just scored a Shadow Warriors set about an hour and a half ago. Brickseek showed an "In stock" all of a sudden (Had been checking throughout the day) at a nearby Walmart (This particular one locks them behind the counter and only gives out one per person. I like their style. They have been doing this for all the releases. Reason I had to make multiple trips for the Foot army build.). Only 2 sets were available. So yeah, the best way to avoid the Pan's Labyrinth false alarm is to hit up the store that shows "In Stock" suddenly in brickseek for the "General 7" 2 pk". Good luck guys.
I got one September 14th, but also you can check FedEx if you have that set up to see labels created for your deliveries.
Saw this on Facebook and couldn’t confirm on the Walmart app BUT looks like the farmhouse Casey / April 2 pack we all blindly preordered a few months ago is coming soon! Haha

I currently have a similar deliver estimate. Although I could have sworn when I placed my order the estimated release was late October anyway.
I actually found a Chromedome at a way out of the way Target while on the road for work today. My area had been so dry for turtles since this line came out, I was in shock when I saw him. Thanks to all of those outstanding gentlemen who offered to pick one up for me. I will kindly ask to be taken off of "the list". Thanks again.
I didnt know Playmates was reissuing shit. Bought the Mikey and Leo two packs at walmart. I take it the Don and Raph packs arent out yet?
