Well, the advantage of this is that if the goal is not reached, we will not miss essential accessories.

If Rated X had explained that he played bare-handed with mercury as a kid, that might explain some things...

The thing of it is whenever they do make humans for Generations/WFC sized figures they never turn out so well.

Mostly, I agree, since I'm well past needing to see the axe and mace homaged for the umpteenth time, but I do feel that both, for however short their appearances were, were more iconic. You can say that the finale (of Victory) is as important as the premiere (of the entire franchise!), but I rather disagree (at least once you put those parentheticals in place to provide proper context). FAR more people watched that initial miniseries over the years than will have watched Victory, and even leaving that aside, the axe and mace did quite a bit more in the scene in which they appeared than the shield did in its appearance.

By that logic, I'm not sure toys even exist anymore, since the actual kids really aren't playing with them....

Looks like the color images helped the count quite a bit. Getting very close to 9000 now.

There’s a lot of people in this thread who really should know better. Using the Report button is fun:thumbdown

To stay on topic as to not upset the Mods, I think the figure looks great … still … may order a 2nd at this rate.

    Big Gun - Great :thumbs2:
Stand (with or without sound chip) - Great :thumbs2:
    Shield - Great :thumbs2:

Indeed, if the reasoning is "toys in the 60s were deadly weapons, but times change," I don't see the problem with using the word "toys" to describe modern Transformers (added articulation, design, etc.) vs. the "toys" of the 1980s.

I can’t even. There has been an obscene amount of ridiculousness in this thread, but this takes the whole gosh darn cake. Pat yourself on the back lad, you successfully broke my brain.

Well to be fair, Victory was the last proper anime of the JG1 continuity so it was, for all intents and purposes, eh finale of the franchise as it was known. Sure Zone had an ova and a spin off magazine but that wasn't a full series

Literally 31 backers away from having a legitimate reason to make the OVER 9,000!!! joke to warrant that cameo voice actor appearance.

Snark aside, I totally get why Victory fans want Jan and Holi. But I think Hasbro is trying to reach out to more people who don't know anything about Victory, and I think a shield you can pose the figure with is probably more of a draw for people like that, who wouldn't have any idea why they were included.

Oh cool, looks like we're getting the shield as tier 3! It's on the back of combined vehicle mode in the new pictures apparently lol.

Which I'm sure has already been pointed out but this thread is moving too fast to keep up entirely with.

Nope that came well after the beast era and was kinda shoehorned into g1 after the fact
