Yeah, the Commander was confirmed time and time again by numerous sources to be Motormaster. Don’t know WHERE the Thunderwing idea came from, unless by some miracle the “2 Commanders a year” thing turned out to not be bogus.

This--^ Admittedly I don't know or hear everything about rumored lists-- I tend to let things settle a bit first and actual pics show up before investing too much into rumors-- but I hadn't heard anything about Thunderhowl. Furthermore, if we're getting another take on Menasor in 2022 it makes sense that MM would be the CC figure.

2 Commanders a year isn't bogus, SG Jetfire is a Commander and he's a 2nd commander during whichever year he releases

Exactly my point. Unless the “2 Commanders per year” thing is coming back, I dunno where Thunderwing came from.

Nice. Hopefully, Sandstorm gets the "mutant" head and Buzzsaw gets the regular head (Waspinator's animation model was based on the "mutant" head). I'd like to get both but I don't do straight repaints in my collection.

Yeah, but he is a "Selects" type figure, not really the main line. They have only released one Commander per series so far. And my wallet is thankful for that.

It was never said there'd be 2 commanders in the main line, just that there would be 2 commanders a year. SG Jetfire qualifies.

Oh Except Sweeps are an established type of Generic Soldier used throughout the 1986 Movie and the 3rd Season of the cartoon and also they have spoken dialogue - the "2nd Cyclonus" just seems like a really strange story boarding error that is only in that single scene.

Though I guess one could "pretend" that "Armada" is the pilot of the Decepticon spacecraft or in charge of the management of it's armoury or docking bays or some such & that is why you don't see him.

So the Sweeps are only pointless to the extent that one could argue multiple Scourges is all you need.. and I guess you can find artistic support for sweep beng identical or not being identical -depending on where you look.

All I am complaining about here is not the existance of either toy - but that it is inconsistant to sell a "Toy/Comic" inspired Galvatron toy & then take the same characters primary sidekick and sell it as a animation error reference.

So I guess what we might get is a very slightly darker Cyclonus that varies slightly from the Kingdom one. in minor details and so it's more lke the Two Kingdom Rattrap toys than it is the Toy Colour Galvatron.

I guess all I can do with that premise is see what the final colour is like - if all else fails I can always use one as "Targetmaster Cyclonus" and the other as "Movie Cyclonus". as I don't think I am really buying any of this stuff for any connection to the Netflix shows except in the most vaguest of senses. which is acknowledging that they exist in that sub-section of the Transformers Universe.

But Oh well it's all plastic for distraction at the end of the day - so I think what with them being so obssessed with the "Evergreen" characters I will be shrugging my shoulders with a sense of mild confusion or disapointment so long as the same people are steering the brand.

But I guess I should be grateful for what we have - as someone new could come along at any time and decide that they want to make the mainline something more like Nu-RID or The Dark of the Moon toylines. (i.e. an incoherent mess of repeated characters while popular characters of other get no toy at all).

I do wish they'd keep up the disassembly figures / or bring them back again as at east they can say they offer the consumer something different that yet another Shockwave, or Soundwave doesn't.

I guess I will have to make myself happy enough with the 15% of the product line that displays some creativity & roll my eyes at the 85% that is a 1980's rehash.

On the plus side at least they had enough sense to realise they have not made a genuine G1 homage Skids yet (The last one being an IDW comics one) & some of the things I am complaining about are more down to the issue of the replacement of the Legends class with Core class.

Speaking of which other than the obvious ones like Wheelie, Spike or Rattrap - what are Core Figures even for - there was rumours they were supposed to interact with the Ark (they really don't). It seems more like they just wanted to do something like the Cyberverse Commander Class.

But they do make me scratch my head at what the purpose of them actually is.

Anyway my attitude remains modest interest & wait and see with a handful of things that may be genuinely interesting. But if I find myself less interested and more of a "wait for a sale" mode that isn't really a bad thing either.

They're an established type of generic that is identical to Scourge. Again, the Armada release is not any more pointless than a miscolored Sweep release

Thunderwing as a commander class would make sense in the year they decide to bring Pretenders back looks llike that isn't 2022 though. Unless he's a John the Baptist figure for a line to follow (no that isn't a relgious reference it's just saying forerunner in a fancy way).

I would presume a Shattered Glass Rodimus Prime isn't impossible if the Jetfire sells well enough - and might even make some sense what with SS Hotrod's repaint being pink/Magenta Hotshot instead. I think Hot Rod is a better looking toy with a better looking vehicle mode and if they'd made him first then they could still sell Shattered Glass Hot Rodimus in 2023 - but I can see Hasbro skipping the smaller mould and going straight for the larger one - though it did cross my mind that they could sell as Shattered Glass gift set put Hot Rod in it and perhaps SG Tracks as well... the later not making any sense as a solo release as it would be quite similar to Road Rage.

But I think I'd likely want both rather than either or. But I'd also really like a Inner robot Ultra Magnus & a Nemesis Prime using the Earthrise Optimus Prime Mould and I can't see them being in a rush to make that either. But Maybe Takara Might have our back on some of that sort of thing.

Random comment ; I was thinking surely they must be considering an earthmode Hound sometime and if they did that in the next couple of years that would make for a more effective homage to Detritus and Sunstorm too.

I’m sure it’s been mentioned already, but we have a new transformers movie in 2022. I know studio series was in no hurry to give us all the figures we needed from the bumblebee movie (since some are just appearing now for the first time), but unless they won’t be released under the studio series banner this time- would hasbro really give us nothing? Even by hasbro standards that’s more than a little dumb.

It has been stated before that ROTB won't appear in Studio Series until 2023. Because they want to base the figures of the CGI models, instead of concept arts, which is why the first Bumblebee movie figures in SS were underwhelming (VW Bee, Helicopter Dropkick, and Car Shatter).
And if they're releasing that many BB figures next year, means they want to get the Bumblebee movie out of the way before 2023, so they can focus on ROTB

They’re likely avoiding a situation like what plagued some of the Bumblebee figures in the line (I.e. VW Bee, Helicopter Dropkick, Car Shatter), in which they were worked on too close to the movie’s release, which made them inaccurate. I mean, Helicopter Dropkick was a shelfwarmer, and it’s likely unpackaged and overproduced stock of Car Shatter was why it got repacked in Buzzworthy.

Oh, I see this new leaker guy turned it into the same "let's play guessing games and increase the topic length unnecessarily" same as all the others.
Can we go back to just sharing information?
'cause the natural evolution of this "game" is when they will start posting puzzle pieces of cut-up images like they did during CW Computron's reveal... Do we really want to go back there? Don't play this game.
Yeah this topic is starting to look more and more like a 4chan post, all we need is people going anonymous (which given that I have a suspicion most of the leakers are just 1 person using alt accounts is probably closer to the truth).
If he cannot say anything because his source is in danger, then he shouldn't, otherwise, he should come out and say it. This will he, won't he is worse than a brazilian soap opera.

That's about the price point of World's Collide pack, and it has BB in the name, so IMHO that's not a line, that's a name of a set similar to what the Buzzworthy Worlds Collide set was.

And to be even more fair towards the Sweep, it's specifically aiming for toy colors (as far as I can tell). Of all the things I don't get, people being upset about a Sweep of all things being a bare-minimum repaint is up there.
