Still, a very Japanese and very Sentai show-like show, obviously not 1:1 but lots of similarities in the characters, plots, themes, etc. to that genre.

Gotta agree. I wouldn't mind if they did a sound chip, but those kind of things inevitably feel wasted after the first ten minutes.

 

Electronics are an opportunity for batteries to be forgotten about and to leak. I can 100% do without them - if I want Victory SFX I'll put on my DVDs!

 

Also the voice of Piccolo, Yamcha, Recoome, Shenron the eternal dragon, and Mr. Popo. Guy does alot of amazing voices from DBZ.
Also the voice of Zoro from one piece and Kuwabara from Yu Yu Hakusho.

with them having put up S1-4 on YouTube here recently, it doesn't seem totally out of the question (if a bit weird... seems particularly strange they'd do Victory before Headmasters or Masterforce)

I'm glad battery operated things are gone from TFs. On all figures I have I tried them once, removed the batteries, and never used that part again. Fort Max (TR) would have been better if they used the electronics budget for more new tooling.

 

I am right there too. So many figures suffered because of electronic gimmicks. Heck gimmicks in general have made things not as solid, out of proportion or just unusable. There are exceptions, I will concede that point. Everyone likes something different though.

I'd be more glad about them being gone if we weren't paying 1.5-2x as much as we were when we had them. (part of Hasbro's ongoing "give them less but charge them more" strategy)

 

Agreed. I’m also not a fan of either forgetting about the batteries and having them corrode and leak.
