I snagged a Classic Leo and Raph the other day at a Walmart near my work. Can't wait to hopefully find Mikey and Don! Love the nostalgia!
That's why I hate when something is a WM exclusive bc if you miss that initial online pre order you're done for getting it from WM online and not a vendor at a marked up price.
Every time Super 7 reveals a new wave, I suddenly feel compelled to go back and buy up every wave and really commit to this line, but then in the interim there's always all the delays and QC issues and generally poor management of the line, not to mention the price just keeps going up and up. Definitely loving all these reveals though, Slash was one of my first TMNT figures as a kid and this thing just really triggers all kinds of nostalgic feels, particularly since the teal with black bandana toy Slash is more iconic than the rather goofy looking toy version, and while the NECA toon and game versions were nice, this one really is it for me. And including Scratch is telling me they are really going hard, because I'm pretty sure that most collectors had lost interest in TMNT by the time the vintage Scratch had come out, and the only reason that he's become this holy grail in the years since is because stores refused to carry that wave because turtles stuff wasn't selling anymore by that point. To be honest, he probably would work better as an exclusive or some type of chase figure to replicate the vintage figure being hard to find, and hopefully this means they're committed fully to the line long term, because it would be a travesty if we ended up getting Scratch but not like Panda Khan or Usagi,
I’m definitely going to get Slash and Usagi when he’s released. Tbh I refer these figures over Neca because the joints appear more durable.
Did I miss some delays on this line? They seem to be coming out regularly. Ive got some bad news on platics and shipping cost pricing news for you... its everywhere and its not going away.
The joints are better, they're better balanced, and they don't feel nearly as fragile. Which is why I just ordered my third S7 turtle (Raph!) And with Neca, I just stopped at Leo and Don. Also have Shredder and Krang. I can see my S7 collection expanding beyond the basic TMNT assortment, which is something that hasn't happened since 2003. I saw Mondo Gecko and Muckmam at Target yesterday and I just... Kinda left them there. Muckman's never been a big thing for me, but Mondo was tempting. But I just said "Eh. I'll get the better version when it releases."
I had that problem last night while looking. I noticed that some were out of stock online but still had an Add to cart because they were supposedly available for in store pick-up. Might be what's causing some of the confusion.
I really hate their latest app update especially with the changes to the "at your store/walmart.com" options when looking at my lists. Plus lists are no longer available in the app, it redirects you to your browser.
I guess I am just transferring some of my perception of Super 7 when they did MOTUC over to their Ultimates stuff, which is probably not entirely fair.
