All three of the new leader class figures have repaints I want more than the standard use. I might pick up Laser Optimus himself, but I would buy Toxitron in a heartbeat. I'll definitely grab Blitzwing, but I desperately want an Overcharge repaint for me to get two of for my Quint Shelf. I'd also love a Feverdream and Star Dasher two pack using Astrotrain (the platinum edition colors) for the space pirate squad I want to build. (They would also need a Ferak from Cyclonus, and Cannonball though) And I'm really torn on whether I want Dragon Megs, cause how would I make that work on my BW Shelf alongside regular Megs (I have a big issue with that kinda thing, it's why I'm trying to create a justification for Laser Optimus)? Meanwhile, I would love a Cryotek, who could fit right in.
Yeah I didn’t even know about Overcharge but I’d pick that up. As well as the platinum edition ones you were talking about. Damn you Hasbro for having so many appealing repaints!!!
If it's really not Armada Blurr thats a relief, one less exclusive I have to try tracking down. He was used as a generic Velocitronian and a racer so it checks out.
I'd personally prefer Armada, but I'll take both. If they're doing Cybertron Blurr then it's probably because he looks more like G1 Blurr *sigh*.
I’m pretty sure most of them are either straight repaints and remolds, but ok. I’ll see you in 8-12 months.
This is gonna be pretty much the same thing as the Netflix line. A Walmart line with mostly repaints, and some remolds as well (Netflix Bumblebee and Soundwave).
People, we're getting a Pointblank figure, why do we suddenly think it won't be used as a base for UT Blurr?
Ugh, of course. TBH I kinda hope so, I like both versions but I like Cybertron Blurr's color scheme a little better (plus that's the one I had as a kid, so there's more nostalgia for me). I wouldn't mind if his tooling is all based on Armada Blurr though so that he could be released later on in Selects as an easy repaint, maybe with an added Mini-con like how Artfire got a Targetmaster. Cybertron Blurr came with a Velocitron Cyber Key, so technically he could be considered a Velocitronian even though he wasn't connected to it in the show.
So Cosmos is indeed happening. Really hope that I can find him. T30, while it’s a good mold, is showing its age, and the head is starting to have some paint chipping, which sucks. I like my little tubby UFO friend, hope his redo gives him justice. As for “Payload”… uh… he can go with Sky Lynx as recompense for the missing Astroscope Micromaster we were promised.
I wasn't trying to refute your point, just pointing out that Cybertron Blurr would technically be connected to Velocitron, helping tie the theme together a little better than just Override would.
