that literally isn’t possible and never will be possible. They can’t just make a tons and tons of product which would in turn not sell and then I turn clog shelves which would in turn hurt Hasbro long term. It doesn’t work that way and never will. You don’t have to give up when you want a figure you just have to be patient. We are talking about figures that aren’t even out yet. People on here speak about toys as if it’s life or death or comes across that’s way. If you choose to pay resell that’s on you the buyer.
Comparing Coca Cola to a toy? Come on now lol

And would, in turn, slow restocks. Making newer product even *harder* to find as stores had no interest in ordering more of something collecting dust on shelves.

Target doesn't say "oh wave 3 is out time to get more!" They say "oh we're out of this DPCI, please send more!" and in turn get a case of whatever assortment is currently at their distribution center.

Buying Coca-Cola as usual. Scalpers alone didn't create the demand for toilet paper, nor could they have.

What are you even arguing anymore? Your initial argument that "Hasbro should just make more..." doesn't solve the problem because it's distribution that's currently the issue on top of an already obnoxious speculator market.

Coca-Cola has no such issue. And while scalpers alone didn't create a toilet paper shortage, a race on stores triggered by pandemic-fueled fears combined with stockpiling scalpers managed to outpace the manufacturers.

And by the time they were able to ramp up manufacturing, there was still distribution issues meaning that flood of product wasn't able to get to stores for a time even after the panic had waned.

But none of that matters because product is finally getting to shelves. It's just a shotgun blast of whatever is in the distribution chain because that bottleneck of stuff in warehouses on the coasts needed to be knocked loose before Hasbro can even get a flow of *new* waves to retailers.

They are other places to sell things besides shelves.

Cola Cola is just one of many, many products that despite a pandemic have adequately met demand. Even some of Hasbro's own products have done so, which is why I brought up Arcee. I consider it a success, even though I didn't buy it because my son isn't interested in the character, because the demand appears to have been met. They could do this with everybody else if they chose.

Heres the text for Wave 4 Prime, Megatron, and Unicron.

BTW: if anyone has a wave 4 Blackarachnia card. I got a spare wave 4 Unicron card to trade

Nobody was panic buying Coke or speculating on the Coke Collector market.

Also, fun fact: some products, in order to accommodate broader demands on resources, shifted manufacturing priority to only make top selling flavors.

    Including Coke.

So Coke survived not by flooding the zone, but by narrowing their focus to their top sellers to ensure they could meet that demand.

Hasbro makes more than Transformers. They're also in the Marvel/Star Wars business. Which may explain why we've seen a constant flow of Marvel/Star Wars but a reduced focus on Transformers.

They were focusing on top selling SKUs. And not only top sellers, but those from 3rd parties (in this case Disney) who could potentially end their licensing agreements if they weren't happy with what they were seeing from Hasbro.

And remember, you were the one who brought Coke in to this.

"DECEPTICONS ARE YOU READY TO ROCK!?"

...on a more serious note, I guess my prediction that Megatron would get a "Becomes Matrix Bearer" didn't play out. Bummer!

I don't have the translations. I was just going off the art.

To be honest, the destiny cards were ultimately pretty uninspired. I just thought Megatron being a gladiator, addressing a crowd of Decepticons in a political fashion, and becoming Galvatron were pretty common notes in the many histories of his character. Give me more Herald Dinobot.

I really hope online retailers get these guys soon. Retailers out here have just given up on anything that isn’t the usual Cyberverse shelf cloggers.

Peaugh mentioned in his review today for Waspinator that he saw him listed on Amazon for pre-order, same as Tigatron… I tried searching for both but had no luck. Anybody here have links to those listings? I’m also looking for Shadow Panther if he’s up as well :)
